Expiration date for event items
JUST STOP IT !
Stop setting an expiration date to live event items ! Since day one , the biggest problem destiny had had was lack of content . When your game lacks content , you ADD content , you don't TAKE IT AWAY for no actual reason !
P.S. in case you dont know , with this festival of he lost , you can get a broom sparrow which looks amazing , but for some reason it is due to completely disappear after FotL . Why ? Well idk
EDIT: [spoiler]my point isn't that events and festival loot should be obtainable for longer . On the contrary , I'm all for timed exclusives when it comes to limited time to obtain stuff , and obviously it wouldn't make sense for festival of the lost items to keep dropping during christmas . However , i think you should be able to keep every item you get during those events as souvenirs , trophies , collectibles etc. and they SHOULDN't'T simply disappear from your inventory for the sake of events being "timed exclusive" . If you think that would be a problem for guardians to ride broomsticks all year long in terms of realism , let me remind you that destiny is a game about resurrected space cowboys and wizards using space magic to kill alien zombies and defend a big white floating orb . We've also been able to keep our masks all this time , and that never caused a problem , so let's not delete someone's work , something that took time and ressources , for no reason . [/spoiler]

Agreed! I love pulling things out of the vault randomly and in a loving manor. Set limits on the drops but let me play around long after the event!

12 RepliesDo you hear yourself when you speak, or do the words just fall out? It's a Festival, A bit of fun, a small break from the norm. You must be as welcome as Toland at parties. You really want to keep a broomstick? In a Sci-Fi shooter? How would that work? A broomstick? Go play Harry fookin Potter if you're crying over a broomstick. Festival of The Lost is NOT content, it's an event for fun. You only just had your content with Rise of Iron. Take part, or don't take part. You can still do Destiny while it is happening. You should tut loudly and look down on everyone wearing a mask while you do it. Of course they are going to get rid of everything after the Event. Festivals are transient, ephemeral and supposed to be fun. Cheer up dude. I'm sure Eris has some raisins for you if you give her a smile.

Bunghole missed a fun opportunity for another quest line here. Where you literally have to find his item (and perhaps brooms for all bots) that have done a 'sorcerers apprentice' style 'evac' and made their way to Mars/Venus etc. and we have to go find them. on finding them all, THEN we get the 'Lost Broom/Broom Sparrow', that would be permanent.

If it's fun bungie will shit on it. They should have given you a quest to replace the broom that leads to you getting an exotic broom sparrow. I'm pretty sure this game is being run by the interns from the local college at this point.

2 RepliesThere's only one thing that'll disappear, it's not a big deal. Seeing as lots of people will have the broom equipped when it expires, I expect that it'll change into something else by the end of it

4 RepliesLast year i was able to save blue masks by putting them into the vault before the festival ended. Perhaps that will work as well for the broomstick speeder

You are dealing with the new improved Bungie that the only way to get this greedy company to actually take any action that their fanbase has any concern on. Is by voting with your wallet. Timed events are BS when nothings significant as far as adding actual content goes has been added to this game in over a year. I actually feel sorry for the fools that are going to throw money at the screen when "D2" comes out. Bungie is going to pull a lot more BS like this and will focus more on tess giving gamers content instead of actually adding content to the game. Knowing gamers shouldn't have to buy or over grind for something that is over priced and is just a stupid cosmetic. Hmm, I wonder what vendors that were created on all social spaces are for? Does the word (relavent) mean anything to you Bungie or are you just going to keep screwing over you fanbase for the sake of earning a buck?
