"Ah, you meant to shoot me! I think. I don't know..
He is currently stationed within Cainhurst. Condition: stable, but could be better. His name is Ghiaccio, by the way."
Ghiaccio...my only true partner here, was rotting away within that forbidden castle. Not rotting away literally, but...still. I hated leaving him there.

"He's stable? Goddamn he can take a beating. Does he still have that huge-ass hole in his chest? How did he not bleed out?" I was... Confused to say the least.
-
"I said stabilized. As in, he still has a massive fücking hole in his chest, but due to a blood vial I've given him..his bleeding has stopped. It's complicated. I guess you could say that I used some of my own blood for the procedure.." Basically...the flesh that was blown open wasn't healed, but it was covered up by coldblood, a substance prominent within Hunters, specifically Vilebloods... "...So I may or may not have made him a Vileblood."
-
"Oh. Uh, I know you're a Vileblood 'n all, but could you fill me in on what exactly one of 'em is? Just so I can be informed as to who I'm working with."
-
"Vileblood: a sentient living being that has supposedly sworn themselves through an oath to the Queen of Cainhurst, and accepts her cursed blood as an offering. The cursed blood practically makes her immortal, and while I'm not...Y'know, immortal...I'm just stronger than regular humans. Ghiaccio will most likely only have some amount of healing. For that wound? It took quite a while to close up, and there's still a hole in him..perhaps you should try combating me in a melee fight next time? Just so nobody else gets in the way." While Ghiaccio wasn't a full-fledged Vileblood just yet, he still had my blood within his body. The shit was forbidden in practically every part of Yharnam; it was cursed.

"Is there any way to help him? I hate him and all, but if he's your friend I'm obligated to help him. Allies of the NCR and all that. Allies of allies of the NCR are covered under our Obligation of Protection. Anyways, we're at the forest." And I wasn't lying. We actually were at the forest. This place would be trapped to hell. Bear traps, rigged shotguns, mines. And guess which one we ran into. A mine. A beeping went out, and quickly sped up. We had to take cover, too little time to run away or defuse it. Agh. As much as I hated her, I had to protect her. This would hurt. "Mine! Get down!" I tackle her to the ground, and just when we hit the ground, the mine explodes. It scorches my coat, and heats my armor to the point of burning me. Irina should be safe, though. She was the priority at this point. I roll off her, and lay on the ground for a moment. I get up with a pained grunt, and look over at her, dusting myself off.
-
"I think I can handle i-" Before I can even finish my sentence, I heard the beeping and suddenly turned my head towards the plasma mine. Then, I felt Grant slam into me, pushing me into the earth as the mine exploded. He had bothered to save me? Even if it was a mission, and even if the NCR wanted me to live..I still found this odd. After Grant rose up, I groaned; the worst I got from the fall and explosion was some scratches, while he endured almost everything. I felt selfish at that point..I hoped I could help him back in the future. "...Damn." I swore quietly as I rose up, brushing some dirt off of my clothing. "...Thanks, I guess."
-
"Just doing... My job. Good thing my armor is strong as hell. Regular person would've been scorched beyond recognition. Stupid Legionnaires... Why do they like be mines so much? Be careful. There's bound to be more." I then take the lead, if anything else would happen, it'd happen to me. NCR really wanted her alive, no idea why. Last time they did something like this they just got shot. Courier Six did it. Alex Wilson.
-
"...Whatever coward relies on traps deserves death.." I hated traps. Always had, always would. That's how that Executioner fücker Daniel got me the first time; smoke bombs and pushing me into an alleyway, where he then proceeded to slam a wheel into my head. I was still confused about how I got out of that situation.. I decided to silently follow Grant, while my eyes darted around for more mines. Hell, I was actually somewhat worried, considering one could blow us sky high.
-
We walk. And walk. And walk FOR around an hour. Then, it finally comes into sight. The Legion garrison. It's only a few red tents, nothing much to see. There was a few Legion recruits strewn about. I look over at Irina. "How ya wanna play this?"
-
"Mm. Would probably be best to go in stealthily. I don't want either of us to get shot up." I preferred to be quiet about my assignments. I wasn't a loud person in general, I just hated sprinting into places and shooting everything up pointlessly. The best course of action would be to stealth this.
-
Stealth. Heh. I have something good for that. Really good. Makes you literally invisible. Always carried a few with me, in case I didn't have many weapons. "If we're doing this stealthy, take this." I hand her a Stealth Boy. "Press the button, then prepare to be amazed."
-
"Not sure about what the hell this is, but..okay." I didn't know what this thing was..I wasn't too much of a technical person at all, but I had to trust Grant. I simply placed my finger on the button, pushing it slightly.
-
I smiled as she immediately turned invisible, no gradually preceding line, no anything. I also activate mine, and all that is visible of me is a shimmering stealth field. This could easily fool anyone. "What do you think?"
-
I stared at where my hand once was, while my eyes widened suddenly as I went completely invisible. I almost panicked when Grant suddenly vanished, although I realized what exactly was going on; it was some sort of...stealth device? "This is...interesting. Please tell me you have more.."
-
"I'll answer your question with another question. How long do you want to be invisible?" This would be awesome. Running around, murdering some Legion without even being seen. I had more of 'em to, around four more. It would most definitely get through everyone here.
-
"I'd prefer to get through this quickly and carefully. Can you keep you and me invisible for the entire time we're here?" I was actually somewhat excited about this. Not because I had new toys to play around with, or the fact that as usual, I was killing people; this was a moment where I could prove myself to Grant, that I should be forgiven.
-
"Yeah. Stealth Boys last for a solid five minutes each. We can kill these guys fast. Just a few recruits. You ready?" I pull out my Bowie knife, got it from a marked man. Bloodknap was the blade's name. I twirled it around.
-
As the man drew his knife, my gloved hand drew a favorite of mine; a slightly curved katana, with a decorated stone hilt with leather wrapped around it, while the blade itself was sharpened yet thick. The Chikage, a weapon made for cleaving through flesh with ease. "Ready. Let's get going.."
-
I sprint up to the campfire, and then drop. There's a Legionnaire standing there, and another one near him. I wait for Irina to get up here, my knife at the ready.
-
I wasn't used to being invisible, or being with things or people that were invisible. But I could tell where Grant was going. I took position right behind one of the Legionnaires, and I prepared to lunge at him with quite a murderous intent.
-
I reach up, grabbing the Legionnaire by the mouth, and shove the blade into his back. A muffled scream rings out, but the others don't realize it. I drag the corpse away.
-
In my invisible state, I sprinted towards the Legionnaire nearby the one Grant had just killed (there was a secondary one, I checked, lol), and due to some experience in assassinations and I guess one could say running, my footsteps were muffled and kept quiet. I immediately raised my Chikage and slashed straight at the soldier's neck, in a rather vicious attempt to decapitate him.
-
I smiled as the Recruit's head sailed into the air, separate from his body. A fountain of crimson coming from his neck. I then stopped smiling when I caught a .308 Armor Piercing bullet to the chest. In fact, it actually didn't enter in my chest. It entered in my back. Went out my chest. I fell forwards, and felt the barrel of a gun press against my helmet. It was a Centurion. Those guys might've been a little more perceptive than I have them credit for. I guess this was Irina's time to return the favor.
-
In an instant, I turned to see the Ranger fall to the ground, the barrel slamming into his head. For once, I felt...angry. Almost furious. I was ready to kill, at the sight of Grant falling..it was odd. In an instant, I drew my Evelyn and fired straight towards the weapon, in an attempt to disable it with a round ball the size of a .44 Mag and fired with the force of a 500 Magnum. I then immediately charged, becoming a blur as I swung at the Legionnaire's head.
-
I felt the shrapnel of what remained of the gun dig into my armor. I also felt the splash of hot blood go all over my chest and head. I couldn't see out of my right eye from the blood, but it wasn't hard to guess she cleaved the guy's head in half. I slowly sat up, and slid my helmet off. We took out the Legion, but there was the small problem of the hole in my chest. "Gonna... Need somethin... To heal me... Outta... Stims..." I coughed up a small amount of blood, and looked up at Irina. Must've looked pathetic. My blue eyes like a puppy dog's. Black hair caked in blood.
