That moment when you pay 200$ for a game and still have to pay microtransaction

200? don't think it was that much.
-
It was almost this much
-
If you bought all the DLC individually, its $170, not including sales tax. Its close.

For European players buying into Destiny from the start is over $200. We paid €69 for Destiny. We paid €20 for HoW. €20 for DB. €40 for TTK and €30 for RoI. Converting that at today's lower exchange value and you get $196. But when destiny was released the Euro to Dollar conversion was 1.30 average right up until DB. So year one cost $140 TTK cost $48 RoI cost $32 That is a total of $220

Damn, that's nucking futs.
-
You don't HAVE to pay anything else. I've never spent a cent on micro transactions. And I'm a day 1 y1 player. So I'm doing just fine. Stop being a. Pussy.

"Destiny: The Collection" is only about $50...all DLC's included. -
Edited by chickengoujohn93: 10/27/2016 1:50:22 PMMost new players who buy the Collection will never make it to current end game. They all drop out before they get there money's worth. The whole game is a bag of frustration for anyone new, particularly those who do not have friends playing the game already. - A long ass leveling system from 0 to 350 to get to end game readiness which starts with Heroics. - Little to no players for matchmaking for the low level strikes in the Planetary directory - Three idle Raids with little to no players to play with, this is a massive blow to new players. - Multiple variations of Prison of Elders/Challenge of Elders sitting idle with little to no people to play with (variations are Skolas, Quodron, Valus, Urrox, Gulrot, Kaliks and Challenge) - A PvP system so dominated by meta weapons that can only be obtained via end game activities through post game rewards, ranking up factions, accumulating marks to buy gear etc. Any weapon used out of the ordinary puts one at a disadvantage. Oh your using a blue shotgun? Let me just snipe you with my godly rolled Matador 64. That's the crap a new player faces in PvP without even mentioning the lag. It's frustrating as some of the points mentioned above are tied to quests. Not being able to complete quests because of stupid shit is very frustrating and a big downer. Remember playing Sepiks Prime for the first time? It was like a Raid itself and that was with three players! Imagine doing that with the lack of players being matchmade in the level 8 version? The old Raids are advertised in the Collection yet they are baron wastelands, PoE likewise. That too is a huge bummer. These players are basically paying $60 for Rise of Iron with the old shallow fetch quest story missions as a bonus. Alot, will not make it to Rise of Iron content.

400 Light level. 4 Raids. Just buy Exotic weapon from Xûr or grind. There's no cap for Matchmacking on crucible (i see alot noobs always trying to level up quickly) but you do need to be on a certain light level for most Raids, Strike and story mode. Also, you get 1 level up "booster" to lv40. -
"baron wastelands" ha ha ha.

Why do you "have to pay"?
-
For each dlc?
-
Isn't it obvious ?
Isn't it obvious ?
I think he meant no one is forcing you to buy stuff in game. It's mainly cosmetic...
