I understand that the patches were designed to balance weapons and change the game to what it was mean to be, and I'm not asking those to be undone. Admittedly [u]this is the most balanced version of the crucible we have so far. [/u] [b][u]lol nope nevermind, I take that back[/u][/b] I just wanna relive those different Metas again. They werent golden, everything was messed up, but they were fun. Bottom line, who thinks that weapon balancing should be part of private matches? It'd be difficult to pull off but I think it'd be worth it.

I think the feedback data bungle could get from this could also help make future weapon balances easier to carry out in a way that seems fair since the players pick them. [/i]
It'd also be a fun way to goof around with friends and have matches with weapons like vex, suros, and thorn pre-nerf as well as sublclasses like sun breaker pre-nerf.
Heck we could nerf them even more in these private matches and make random guns better or worse for the kick of it.
Maybe there could be other fundamental changes that could be implemented through general goofing around with weapon balances, for instances reducing thorns base damage and increasing the number of tics or damage per tic that it does or allowing hard light to bounce 2 times or even five like sleeper stimulant instead of once or some other messing around that would discover a more fun and possibly even balanced way to play so every weapon seems like it has a fair shot against another (when given that it's in the appropriate range of course)
[b]In general, I just wanna screw around with how weapons work or do damage and turn some weapons and classes back into their glory days in private matches. Who else does?[/b]

That's really nice idea but bungie could never do this it would break the game because everyone would be playing a different type of destiny

If this was a thing, I'd make medium fire rate scouts and red death archetype guns enough damage to one shot headshot for the scouts and at least 2 of the bullets from the pulse rifles can "insta kill" Essentially recreating swat from halo.

I cannot image the massive pain in the a#$ that would be to code, the option to add mods like small arms, ark/solar/void burn and other would probably be easier.

Seriously doubt they even still have the info on the original setup. Even still, coding that into the game as a selectable option is alot more work than you think. About the best you could reasonably ask for custom tuning for damage output. Like "ARs deal X% more damage" or "Primaries deal X% more damage"

If this was a thing, try to make Bullet hose auto rifles do 50 damage to the head. handcannons are 2HK pulse rifles and 1 Brust kill. Scouts are 2 Headshot kill. Have fun with your OP weapons.
