Seeing the familiar vertibird, Vernon puts his head in his hand.
"Well, dammit. I guess Wilson's back..."
Vernon, fully armored in his suit of armor, approaches the landed vertibird. His golden combat visor swaps to a blue color as he scans the vertibird for people, as well as cargo. The first thing he picks up is the sign, and that tells him absolutely everything he needs to know. He swaps back to his combat visor, and walks to the opening of the vertibird's cargo bay.
"Wilson, you crazy bastard! The hell are you doing back at the old stomping ground?"

Yo dumbass... He said from behind. I'm back here. He stood, his typically imposing stance heightened with new dings, dents, and scratches on his armor, along with new weapons.
-
Vernon inside of his armor, Vernon jumps a little, and then he turns around to face Wilson. "Damn, your armor makes you look like you fought through hell and back. What've you been doing since I last saw you?"
-
I am hell and back. Nah fam I've just been screwing around as per usual, Wolfie's been chillin' with me. Guessin' you've been on Chodezilla Station? he asked, stifling a laugh.

Edited by jj1042: 10/28/2016 3:42:30 AMVernon lets out an audible sigh, but more out of relief than frustration. "Actually, that got a name change. It's Dissidan Station, now. But yeah... after the Coalition fell, I was on my own for a while. I worked on the station, did some exploring... and then came back here for a little while. Insanity finally left me, although he's pestering another poor bastard now." Vernon seems a bit caught up in memories, but then he remembers Jackson. "Oh, yeah. How's Wolfe's boy?"
-
Oh I forgot, you actually had a second voice in your head. he laughed. See that's the fun part about being batsh*t insane, you really can't go much farther.
-
"Yeah... I guess. I've been recovering to a semi-normal state, though... on a completely different topic, how's Wolfe's boy? You mentioned him." Vernon seemed especially curious. He always liked Jackson, and was sympathetic to him.
-
He's.... well, he's himself. Too quiet. Almost kinda boring. I know sh*t's goin' in but he won't let me in, can't get him to spill anything. Wilson sounded mildly aggravated.
-
"Hm... takes after his dad, I guess." Vernon reaches up to the underside of his helmet, removing it with both hands. His revealed face shows tired eyes, and a large purple mark going across his left cheekbone. Upon closer examination, the mark spreads to Vernon's temple and outer eye-socket. Although, it is a little harder to discern. "So, other than you doing... whatever it is you do besides killing and working on death machines, what's being going on lately?"
-
Dude that's a f*ckin' nasty bruise. What's ya do? Get into a fight you couldn't win? he asked with a laugh.
-
Vernon seemed confused for just a second, before realizing what Wilson was talking about. "Oh, that. I won, don't worry. He just got a little lucky and pistol-whipped me, that's all. As a little payback, I 'whipped' his shooting hand with my sword. Probably bled out by now, but I dunno, I didn't really care if he lived and got away."
-
Ain't good to leave your enemies runnin' around, kid.... He said, sounding mildly serious.
-
Vernon smiled a little bit at that statement, and then shook his head. "That wasn't his only injury. The wounds he had... only someone like you or Jackson could survive those. And he was definitely not you or Jackson. I gave him a quick scan before I left, he had lost a lot of blood when I was done. He shouldn't have tried to hurt a civilian."
-
I'm just sayin', confirm your kills. Lot easier that way.
-
"Duly noted. Guess I've gotten lazy since I've been around here." Vernon frowns slightly, disappointed with himself. "Good thing I'm back, I can train. Anyway, what're you got for sale? I could use some explosives to modify my missiles."
-
I got guns, explosives, chemicals, you name it. Probably all illegal and stole, but, we ain't goin' there. he said.
-
"Hang on one second... have you ever stolen from my Station?" Vernon stared down Wilson's visor, almost like he was trying to see Wilson's eyes behind it.
-
Wilson doesn't have a visor, the X-01 is the helmet with the eyes that are normal
Expression unreadable, Wilson laughed. For me to know and you to probably not find out.
-
Oh, right. I wasn't even thinking about the armor Wilson wore.
Vernon's expression lightens somewhat, and he chuckles. "I'll take that as a 'yes.' I can make more anyway. Show me your top three most high-yield explosives that you've got."
-
We talkin' nuclear or clean? I've got lots of both. he said.
-
"Clean. I'm trying to modify the missiles I carry in the suit; so I'd prefer not to incinerate myself and everything else within a few miles."
-
Well, if we're lookin' at suit-mounted, I'd look into somethin' along the lines of a SMAW rocket. Good anti-tank weapon, the warhead's fairly small and safe. You want just explosives, I've been foolin' around with some explosive gel, got a cocktail of it whipped up. Safe stuff, dries quick after application, and has one hell of a punch. And as usual, I've got some random plasma 'nades laying around.
-
"Mind if I see some of that gel? Sounds like something out of a video game, or a comic book. I just need to scan it, is all."
-
Nah, real deal. They use it for breaching doors. Also use the strips too. He entered the gunship, and came back out a few moments later with a gasoline can full of the stuff, and a strange gauntlet piece that was low and flat with two nozzles at the ends.
-
Vernon puts his helmet on momentarily, scanning both the items, and then takes it back off. "Huh, that's pretty neat. And that gauntlet is to deploy it, of course... How much you want for it?"
-
How much do you have? he retorted, a predatory nature to his voice.
