This is the first time in a loooong time that I'm putting some of myself into a post.
Since my perma ban on my main, my trolling has just been going down hill, and I haven't done any this school year. My posting in general has died down, and I think it's mostly because I dropped Destiny. Most of the threads I post now are stories, Fanfictions if you will. There's some support, and some hate.
So, what is your opinion on Fanfiction? Do you support it, or view it something terrible? Leave a comment, converse with some random strangers.

Some aren't to bad, but it goes way to far and quite literally ends up gay as shit.

Personally I rather dislike fanfics. All too often they try to turn the story into something else other than what is known or cannon about it, or they are just very poorly constructed or written making them painful to read. In the past very, very few have I ever seen were worth anything. Although a couple were by a clan mate and they were extremely interesting.

Undertale is a disgrace to skeletons everywhere

It's not good unless it's Doom: Repercussions of Evil John Stalvern waited. The lights above him blinked and sparked out of the air. There were demons in the base. He didn't see them, but had expected them now for years. His warnings to Cernel Joson were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now, anyway. John was a space marine for fourteen years. When he was young he watched the spaceships and he said to dad "I want to be on the ships daddy." Dad said "No! You will BE KILL BY DEMONS" There was a time when he believed him. Then as he got oldered he stopped. But now in the space station base of the UAC he knew there were demons. "This is Joson" the radio crackered. "You must fight the demons!" So John gotted his palsma rifle and blew up the wall. "HE GOING TO KILL US" said the demons "I will shoot at him" said the cyberdemon and he fired the rocket missiles. John plasmaed at him and tried to blew him up. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and not able to kill. "No! I must kill the demons" he shouted The radio said "No, John. You are the demons" And then John was a zombie.

Call me a weeb but I really liked Naruto fanfiction when I was younger. Went back and reread the old ones I enjoyed they were trash. All of them except for Blind. That one held up.

A lot I have read were really good. Some I have read were -blam!-ing hilarious (intentionally or not) A lot I have read were -blam!-ing atrocious. Some I have read were so cancerous it made me want to step on LEGOs.

I enjoy fan fictions that don't take dumps over their source materials, or if they do, they need to at least be well written enough and keep enough correct with world to maintain a "fanfiction" status. For example, a fanfiction about Destiny ought to at least include some real characters or situations from the Destiny universe. I enjoy shipping anime that either expands upon existing relationships (Ron x Kim) or shows a reasonable relationship between characters. I'm against any shipping fanfiction that ships characters that otherwise would not ever be romantically involved with each other. Sam x Dean, Luna x Celestia, Hermione x Draco are some examples. For Cross Dimensional fanfiction, I enjoy ones that, once again, make sense. Harry PotterXNarnia, Dr. WhoXSupernatural, TWDXSupernatural (yes, I used Supernatural twice, sue me). I hate things like MLPXSupernatural because the two don't mesh well together and I'm pretty sure Sam and Dean would blow the heads off of any talking horse before they bothered asking questions.

Edited by whoops: 10/29/2016 7:51:34 AMI know friends that have read a LOT of gay fanfic. They even made me read it myself. It was well... Really -blam!-ing gay.

It's a good outlet for expressing inner emotions and thoughts through a medium you're familiar with. It's also a good outlet to realize just how cringeworthy and strange most people's inner emotions and thoughts are.
-
If it's noncannocial, I don't give a shit about it.
-
Not really into it
unless it's on me
The vast majority of fan fictions are aweful (Sturgeon's Law), but I do read it. I even have some favorites. However, I've really only read ones based off of two sources.

For every decent, readable fanfic there's a hundred train wrecks in writing. Even so, it's worthwhile to have fanfic sites for the sake of those with real talent. The good fanfic author of today might produce original titles tomorrow.

Fan fiction is mostly cancerous, I've come across okay, and surprisingly, non sexual fan fiction

Edited by icothiba: 10/29/2016 12:11:53 AMThe only fanfics I've heard of are two men from any TV shows having sex even if they are straight and married.

Edited by qwej: 10/28/2016 11:32:28 PMWhat is you are opinion? I don't know what that means maybe you should use...
PROPER GRAMMAR
50 Shades of Shi..I mean Grey started as a Twilight fan fiction called Master of the Universe... Nuff said...
you're
I don't get it, that's all.

I don't have an opinion on that, but I do have an opinion on "you're" grammar.

Pretty much

There's some great works out there (currently following 2 massive ME fics and and 1 LOTR fic, both multiple stories in) but you have to wade through a gargantuan amount of shit to find it.
-
Depends. If it has someone who can actually write behind it and not some horny 13 year old writing bad smut, sure. For the record, I don't mind smut, but when some 13 year old who barely knows how to write writes it when they have no idea how it truly goes since they've never had sex, it's utterly terrible. There's a certain fanfic author I really like by the name of Rae D Magdon. If you like ME or DA fanfic, I'd check her out. Btw, she only posts on ao3 now.
-
Too much romance, not enough action/adventure, too many people who really can't write.
-
I think fanfic is a pretty cool guy
