Minor Trials Update Idea: Passage Coin Refund on 9-X
Has this ever happened to you? You get to 7 or 8 wins and receive a loss on your card. No problem, you can just start over, since there's no reward for 9 wins without flawless (even though that's the definition of a "trials victory"). Oh wait, this week there's a bounty for completing a card, lets go for those 9 wins anyways to finish the bounty.
Except people rarely do that. Some teams would rather lose just to finish it faster. The bigger issue, losing is the only way that will get you those passage coins back. Even when my friends and I want to keep trying for fun, we have to hold back to make sure we lose and get our coins. It does feel nice to help out an enemy team trying to get flawless, but still, I want my passage coins.
So here's a simple solution that won't have a huge impact on trials rewards, but will be nice for those who keep making it to 7-1/8-1. Make an option for turning in a completed, victorious trials card to Brother Vance in exchange for a refund on the passage coins spent on that card (or a fixed amount, if you want). We already have the option to return the card to Vance for nothing right now, so why not let us get some coins out of it? This way, people will have a reason to keep going past that lost game instead of encouraging/rewarding losing.
