Just another below average complaint from a below average player.. Shotguns in battlefield 1 are good and realistic, not because it's better than destiny, but because it's a battlefield game. If you had ever played a battlefield game before, you'd know this. Destiny is in a broken state, but when maps are such a small circle jerk of shotguns with 1,000 range like in battlefield, that's when it's no fun to play. If the maps in destiny were the of the same scale as battlefield, then there would be no issue with shotguns as they were in year one. Battlefield 1 also has revolvers that can 2 shot without a single head shot, but Thorn? I don't see you making the case that Thorn needs a huge buff. I'd also like to argue that a god sniper with a revolver secondary almost cannot be stopped in battlefield 1, except with a behemoth or via a good bombing/mortar. In Destiny, I would argue it's almost the same. Not everyone with any super can counter a good sniper (like battlefield), but a fist of havoc or a storm trance (OP) could probably do the job, if done right. I'm not saying Destiny doesn't have a ton of problems, but I don't think you can seriously say battlefield 1 is the end all be all for game balance, cause that SMG that you get at mastery rank 10 on assault is outrageously OP.

  • Well first off I'm not a below average player of Destiny- check my Titan and come back with that. I'm above average- just not a flawless average. Now, I'm not saying Battlefield 1 is end all- but my point is- I haven't lagged once or got DDOSD once yet. Meaning dedicated servers are a must. If you saw the sub Reddit for Destiny over the weekend- there are hackers paying people in Destiny to DDOS for trials. As a matter of fact some of the top 5 people in trials DDOS all the time. To add to this, the rep cap ruined my solo- to team routine. I usually begin Destiny with 2-3 patrols to rank up my vanguard 1-2 times. Then I move onto 20-30 strikes with 3oC active. After my team logs in, then we pull crucible matches for an hour 30. However my patrols got capped and my strikes became a terrible grind because now the rewards I get don't truly help me as you've seen my drop rate in the original post. Crucible as well. I bought this game cause it could be done and finished solo and with a team. I hit max light before Rise of iron solo, I see no problem with that. Elitist banter usually hates the solo player cause they usually have all the time in the world to play a game whilst people like me need to balance this crap with actual priorities- like me in the field of financial planning. I'm now working on my Securities licenses. Why in the world would I give this game even more time than it needs? To give Bungie rating statistics? To give Bungie traffic statistics to ensure investors give in? I'm not like that. I played fine before but now it's terrible- me I no longer want to spend my precious commodity of "time" till they 1) Get dedicated servers- it reduces the chances of lag and cheating 2) Actually BAN cheaters 3) Live up to their 10 year "your guardian will always be there" promise 4) Actually live up to Victoria's promise that there will be more ways to max light, cause right now there's really only 2. Flawless and Hard Raid. The rest you need about 6 hours of your day to get. So go on, "above average" player who's KD is lower than my main. We all have our strengths and weaknesses and I believe it was ok for me 'to state why I'm leaving as it is constructive criticism that a lot of the people on this post agree with. Thanks for your almost non salty response.

  • Just saw your reply, never claimed to be above average, but I have gone flawless every week since the second week of trials in Destiny 1, something your reply mentions you haven't done. I screw around any time that isnt recorded on a trials card. Hope you're enjoying Destiny 2, if you bought it. If not, then it's great and my only complaint is how easy the exotics are to get.
