The West rose to become the most developed and powerful civilization in history, with its legal systems and culture firmly rooted in the Christian tradition. Over one thousand years of western poetry, architecture, music, literature, and feats of engineering were done in the name of, were inspired by, and were intended to glorify Christian religion. Christian morality has a reason and purpose, mainly to defend the integrity, structure, and order of society; which has at its core the family unit. Everything in the West from our ideas on morality, law, rights, humanism, literature, language, science and culture stems mostly from our Christian foundation.
Christianity is the foundation of any Western moral code. Just LMFAO at atheists who say they have some sort of moral code that they follow. Immature atheists like to pretend that they study philosophy and have roots in stoicism that allows them to live a moral life. Just LOL at lying atheists (we all know atheists don't read books enough to understand stoicism). Pre-Christian or non-Christian civilizations don't have the concept of equality, it is a social construct that stems from post-enlightenment European Christian philosophy. The concept of equality among men arose directly out of Christian teachings. It was this concept of equality that led to Europe's, led by Britain, abolition of slavery around the world, in every other culture outside of Christianity slavery was still permitted and accepted as natural.
Christianity by its very precepts considers itself (perhaps no longer, but it should) above human creations such as a state, a sovereign or any other ideology, in the West it has always acted as a buffer against abuse of power from a state, which is the principal threat currently facing western society (note I am not saying that Christianity itself has not been or is not guilty of abuses of power). When you remove Christianity from its formal position as the official foundation of morality, you leave morality up to the individual or the state and it becomes relativist. I see this all around me, and was guilty of it myself, with people basing their morality in the laws of the state or in their own, often selfish, desires rather than in the teachings of Christianity.
Christianity is a system of BELIEFS (no proof needed, see definition) incredibly beneficial to society and government, that has produced some of humankind's greatest artistic, engineering, philosophical, scientific and political achievements. You should do your best to uphold this undeniably valuable western tradition instead of subverting your own, or adopted, culture and history for your own egotistical desires or the belief that man has been or can ever be perfected in a modern statist, atheist society.
FYI - The title was clickbait, you're really only part of the problem if you disparage Christianity or fail to uphold it's principles.

TL,DR -blam!- you if you aren't Christian. Good talk.
