I guess... This was a chance. If I chose to take it. And you'd better be damn sure I'd take it.
"Fine kid. I'm your dad."

*Elvis "Oh, don't act like you don't already know me!" *She says, hugging you tighter.*
-
I slowly wrap my arms around her, slow and steady. Didn't want to scare her away. It would be nice to have a daughter again. Well, an adopted daughter but one nonetheless. I was excited. Happy. I'd actually have someone to care for again. It would be a nice change of pace. I couldn't just throw myself at the Legion anymore. Then what would happen if I died? Would she be sad? Crushed? Would she even care? No. don't think about that. Think about how happy you are. Think about all the good times you're gonna have. I smile, even though she can't say it. "It's good to see you again, I guess. Good to have you back." Might as well play along with her insane ramblings too.

*Elvis "It's good to see you too dad! I bet I look really different after ten years!" *She says as she looks up at him, smiling.*
-
"Yeah. You really do. I'd imagine I do too. Where have you been? Never could find you after looking for a while."
-
*Elvis "God, I can't remember all the places I've been. For a while I think I was the queen of rats..."
-
"Queen of rats? That's... That's interesting... What exactly does that mean? You know what, never mind. I probably don't wanna know. Say, do you have a room yet? In the Dojo?"
-
"Yeah, I have an apartment. It's a little bit messy though." *She motions to the apartment building. You can see there is a gaping hole in the side looking into her apartment.*
-
"Yeah... I can tell. Well, I have a room in the little complex off to the left, so if you need anything, come knocking, alright? Don't hesitate to ask me, okay?" Funny. I barely knew this girl, yet it was like I'd always known her. Probably just my brain filling the massive void in my soul.
-
*Elvis "Alright dad! I'll just follow you around then!" *She starts searching through the two pockets on her bathrobe, starting to look worried.*
-
"Hey, what's wrong? You look like you lost somethin." I was worried too. About her, not what she'd lost. Unless it was important.
-
*Elvis "I'm just looking for something... Ah, here it is!" *She holds out a rock for you to take.*
-
I gingerly take the rock. I examine it, wondering if it was just a rock, or if it was some sort of death-rock that summoned Lovecraftian horrors from the fifth dimension. "What exactly is it?"
-
Lovecraftian
Eyyy
-
*Elvis "IT'S A ROCK!!!" *She shrieks while giving him a warm smile.*
-
"Uhh... Yeah. Okay. I appreciate it? Umm..." I am thoroughly confused at this point. What the hell was her deal with that rock? I guess it's better not to question it. "Hmm... What do you wanna do? I'm a little bored, and target practice doesn't seem to viable."
-
*Elvis "You're welcome dad." *It comes out as a low mumble for some reason. But then she goes back to speaking normally.* *Elvis "I don't know... I'm BOOORRRRRRRRRED!"
-
"Uhh... Are you hungry? I could cook something up really fast... I've heard I'm a really damn good cook." That was mostly from Alice. Damn it... Gitta stop thinking about her. Gotta move on. I have Elvis now.
-
*Elvis "I'm always hungry! Bring me many of the food!"
-
"Heh. Come with me." I began to walk towards my room. I was gonna cook her the best goddamn meal ever.
-
*She follows him, zig-zagging left to right as she walks.*
-
We reach my room, and I open the door. The walls are plastered with NCR propaganda, posters and the like. I go straight over to the stove, and get to work. "I've only got one rule. Don't touch the mannequin in the corner with the beret and armor, got it?"
-
Edited by Skatch142: 11/7/2016 3:34:18 AM*Elvis turns to look towards the mannequin. She feels the overwhelming urge to touch it as she starts approaching it.* *Elvis "Now I'm going to touch it!"
-
"Just... Just don't destroy the beret. It's the only thing I have left from my First Recon days. If you destroy it so help me god..."
-
*She falls over onto the ground twitching, doing all she possibly can to resist the urge to take a bite out of the beret.*
-
I swear to God if she's even thinking about destroying that beret... There will be punishments. She could like wear it or some shit and I wouldn't mind, but destroying it was another matter.
