*i giggle to myself.* good news is, Q gave me a few tp stones that go to the Glade. we could snuggle there. *i leave the amount of money owed on the table and crush a stone, teleporting us to the glade where we're sitting on Q's cot*

"Thanks..." she yawned, and fell asleep

in her sleep, she faced you and tried to warm herself up

After a while, you were awoken by Beta shuddering and crying out in her sleep

*i yawn, shaking her shoulder as she has a night terror* Hey, Beta, Beta wake up. Its a dream, wake up.

She cries out again as she wakes up, sobbing, and bolting up

*i set my hand on her shoulder gently* B-Beta? You ok?

She didn't respond, still shaking and even sweating now, several surgical scars on her neck showing up in the half light as her fur grew damp

*i hold her close, trying to comfort her* Shhh... its just a dream...

She leaned into you, burying her face in your neck, putting a hand on your chest as she cried "I-I th-thought I was back in th-that lab again......"

*i hug her, blushing a little* Well... youre safe here with me... you dont have to worry..

"P-promise?" She said, calming down, sharing in your warmth

I promise. *i lightly kiss her forehead* So long as im around, if something wants to get to you, it goes through me first.

She stopped crying after a while, and sighed, still leaning on you. You noticed she had fallen asleep, head against your chest, feeling more secure in your arms
