I have a lot of conflicting thoughts and feelings when I hear about stuff like this. It's like, what do you do? Do you live in fear 24/7, worried that someone might get you? Do you try to push it out of your mind and not think about it? I mean, I think I live in a pretty safe area, but even so, sometimes I become wary. Like when one of "those" white vans drives past me. Do I just try to live carefree and not worry about stuff like this, or do I act cautious, always looking out for anything suspicious?
