There was a loud clashing of metal, coming from the arena which had a particularly strange scene.
The bonfire of Firelink Shrine, with the Firekeeper watching over the duel.
Or programmed to watch over the duel.
A wave of blue fire washed over the deserter Knight, Hawkwood. He skidded backwards, spitting on the ground as he raised his sword, aimed at Nathaniel.
Nathaniel, Son of Ornstein the Dragonslayer, and Nora, Blue Flame Pyromaniac.
He grinned at Hawkwood who growled back at Nathaniel.
"Come on, Unkindled."
Hawkwood charged forward, stabbing at Nathaniel who smacked the sword to the side, he swung and slashed open Hawkwood's chest.
Nathaniel kicked forward, sending Hawkwood to his back as the scene faded away, and Nathaniel sheathed his sword.
"You fought well. My father would say the same, I hope."
"I can only wish. For I have yet to see him."
"Heh. Come on, let's patch you up."
Nathaniel reaches downwards to help Hawkwood up.

Nathaniel chuckled, thinking she was joking and then slowly realizing "Wait you're serious. Oh Gwyn." "Bad?" "Our uh training sessions haven't been decisive to say the least. Since we're twins, our skills are very much on Par with the other. Right now we're tied in dueling with each other. Since we've practicing for years and all that."
-
"Yeah...So this'll definitely be fun. We using melee weapons only? Or perhaps..." For just then, Olivia drew an ivory talisman, a tool of miracles. Perhaps she expected a battle that utilized magic within it, especially against Nathaniel.
-
"What is that? Gift from mom against me or something?" He snickers
-
"...Maybe. Maybe not." A flicker of electricity surrounded the bell of the talisman chime, as a faint ringing could be heard from it.
-
"Oh Gwyn it's from Mom isn't it? Maybe dad."
-
"Will you get jealous if I tell you? I'm sure Dad could find another! I mean, chimes are literally everywhere over in Lordran, Lothric, whatever you wanna call it. Although this one...is sorta special."
-
"And why is it so special? Negates powers?"
-
"No, no. Caitha Chime. I've been wanting to try out miracles with it... But it's not working. Look." Olivia held out the chime, and although light surrounded its bell, nothing happened. "See? It makes no sense! Chimes are made for casting miracles! ...Unless...this chime doesn't cast miracles? This makes no sense whatsoever.."
-
"Here let me try" He reaches out for it

Edited by Orn: 11/14/2016 10:55:13 AM"Heh. Fine." As Olivia handed the chime over to Nathaniel, a faint ringing was heard. A dark power radiated from its bell. Something seemed odd...
-
"Huh. This thing feels kind of.. Dark." He tries a miracle. A damage buff
-
"...Dark?" As Nathaniel used the chime, the small bell rang as a deep purple aura surrounded him. It was a hex of some kind. Most likely, this was a chime centered around hexes.
-
"What the heckity heck?" He looks around at the aura
-
"Woah woah woah - it's a dark chime? O-Or a hex one... Damnit! I sold my other chime!" Chimes were especially important to miracle casters, so Olivia...well, she was pissed.
-
"What did you do Olivia??"
-
"I. Sold. My. Other. Chime! Because I thought this one was better, yet it can only use hexes!"
-
"What's wrong with hexes? Those are annoying. And not that weak either"
-
"Because I like miracles?! Have you ever chucked a lightning bolt before?! It's amazing, you ought to try it out."
-
He glares at her slightly "You know what happened the last time I tried lightning."
-
"Oh yeah! Have you told Hawkwood yet? It's pretty funny." Upon the memory of the event, Olivia laughed quietly, grinning under the surface of her helmet.
-
"Told me what? I'm curious now." "No im not going to either"
-
"Come on! It's funny! It may have happened a while back, but still!"
-
"NO." "Nathaniel, Son of Ornstein. I beg of you" "No means no."
-
"TELL HIM!" Olivia was practically yelling at this point.
-
"Alright fine. Promise not to laugh." "I swear by the fire of the first flame"
