You want feedback? I'll give you feedback, and I'll keep it simple: remove SBMM. Who in their right mind thinks SBMM with P2P is a good idea? The lag in this game was abysmal to begin with, and it gave people with red bars invincibility and an advantage back in the day. Now it's even worse because not only do you have to deal with super sweaty and toxic players literally every single game, you have to deal with the terrible lag, which has somehow gotten even worse. Nobody should be forced into SBMM to begin with. How can people say it's connection-based when you're playing six sweaty red bars from the other side of the planet? It's bad enough there's no balance in this game. SBMM has ruined Destiny. I've spent thousands upon thousands of hours playing this game, literally the only game I've been able to enjoy recently, trying to distract myself from my crippling suicidal depression. I keep trying and trying to give it a chance, but I just can't anymore. The vast majority of this community wants SBMM gone. And yeah, I get it's benefited some people, but it -blam!-s over everyone else in the process. Those people are just gonna have to get better. I started at a 0.2 K/D when I first started playing and brought all of my K/Ds up to 2.0 or higher with hard work and practice, although they've all plummeted as of late because I literally can't kill anyone anymore with this lag, nevermind the lack of balance. Either CBMM or bust. Not a single game or company that has implemented SBMM in the past had a positive response from their community. In response to the no life trolls: don't waste your time telling me to "git gud" or "learn to play" or to "kill myself", 'cause I'm already dead inside, and don't tell me to get better internet. I have a 75 down 5 up wired connection with a $200 router that I both bought specifically to help with this game's terrible connection issues, but I guess it was all just a waste. Oh, and don't waste your time saying "u mad bro?" because yeah, obviously I'm mad. I feel like I've wasted hundreds on dollars and thousands of hours of my time here because, for some reason, Bungie doesn't know how to balance their game or actually listen to legitimate complaints from this community. I can't play with friends anymore because, since they aren't as skilled as I am, they just end up getting demolished from the sweaty players I normally deal with. To top this rant off, and the main reason for it: I got banned from Crucible for two months just now because my "connection is unstable." Are you shitting me? I'M the problem? MY 75 down 5 up wired connection is UNSTABLE? Yeah, it's definitely not SBMM and P2P working together (or not) to -blam!- players over by placing them with and against people from the other side of the -blam!-ing planet. No, definitely not. And people wonder why the fan base has virtually disappeared. -blam!- SBMM.

I was totally with you until I heard, "I've spent thousands of hours" and then, I suffer from depression" followed by "waste my time" Instead of you idiots complaining. Maybe look at your own life. Maybe if you didn't waste thousands of hours playing this dead end game you wouldn't be so depressed. Get over it bud. Bungie doesn't care about the community. So stop complaining it is not their fault you don't enjoy the game.

Firstly, SBMM has been a part of the game since day one. Secondly, over about 2mbps down and 1mbps up your bandwidth and router are irrelevant, your connection quality is dependent on, to some degree your ISP, and mainly how your home network is configured. You can buy a $600 router but if you configure it wrong you'll still have issues Thirdly, you've maintained a 50-60% win ratio over the last 3-4 weeks so you're obviously not struggling, and you're ahead of the 50% win ratio that Bungie aim for with their match making settings. It's fine to get frustrated but you should understand what you are complaining about before you go and complain about it.

Battlefield 1 does a good job with SBMM

I cannot agree more with this. Shit like this is why Bungie will never have Destiny free from controversy and stupid levels of criticism.

No. I'm not very good at pvp and I'm still learning to play it. I don't want to be matched with THE -blam!-ING CREAM ELITE 24/7 players. Get over it. It's not ever going to happen.

Its at the point where I advise my friends against starting to play Destiny. It would be pointless since they would have to play PvP alone or play with me and get destroyed, probably destroying their will to play the game in the process. SBMM needs to be removed, the fact it has been left in for this long highlights how clueless the guys at Bungie really are.

I'm a fairly decent player. I've had games where I beat the best but get beaten by the worst. Meaning, in SBMM, I've destroyed the nerds but get destroyed by the guy who has no clue what he's doing. When I started Destiny, I've promised to keep out of PvP because of the nerds. But when you have e everything in game, great rolled PvP weapons. You think "What's the worst that can happen?" And connection had never been an issue for me. And I hate complaining about being pooped in PvP. But if I had a dollar for everytime someone slid into me with a shotgun, I wouldn't be playing Destiny. Or someone panically fist of havoced me. 4 types of grenades were thrown at me, every light from a sniper I saw shine at me. Everytime a Cheeto kid teabagged me because they "outplayed" me by jumping super high with a shotgun. The PvP community is aids. I would rather raid on a 1 bar than bother trying to be anything remotely PvP. SBMM is a joke. Because it feels like it's me vs a team of 6 kids who haven't moved since last Trials or Iron Banner. I'm the only one hopping flags, getting crests, getting kills, etc. I'm basically babysitting my team just to lose. At this point I don't even play crucible unless a bounty is worth losing brain cells over. Or a quest has to do with it. At this point in the game, I embrace going negative and losing. At least my stats will go down and I get a chance to play a game sitting back, enjoying myself.

Well stated. I live in the UK and constantly get laggy games of Destiny. Iron banner being the worst. I have 200 up and 12 down with Virgin media, and while they do throttle at peak times. I get laggy games at all hours. For every 10 games I play I get 1 good game. I am assuming the number of people in the UK playing Destiny has dropped a lot, as there are a lot of new games out. This game has the worst lag of any game I own, which is a shame as I too have spent many, many hours playing it. My wife is sick of listening to me ranting at the TV. I think she is right, it is time to stop playing Destiny. I can only hope Destiny 2 has dedicated servers and a complete rewrite of the net code. Because after 2 years, finding the connections getting worse is simply shocking. Trials of Osiris !!! 9 flawless games in a row. Bloody joke, I can on a good day get 6 or 7 games without loss. Before I get a really laggy game, playing people with red connections, who are taking no damage. Its no surprise people are lag switching to go flawless. Such a shame, but that is me done, time to explore all the games I've missed, while playing Destiny. And maybe, just maybe, I will get my life back ;)

That's why I quit, tired if lag, tired of ddos cheaters, tired of the bullshit. I'l play BF1, MWR, and Skyrim. Bungie go -blam!- yourself, Deej's lenovo tablet is not a server.
