Vinny walks through the bustling streets of Dojoville, glancing warily at people who passed him by. He wasn't exactly sure just where he was or how he got there, but hey, at least no one was trying to kill him... well, not yet anyway. The town seemed pretty lively, reminded him a bit of his home town. Word around town was that there was some kind of Dojo further up the mountain. He might just pay the place a visit later. Who knows, might be kinda fun. For the time being, he continues his stroll through the town's market, taking a look at the shops that dotted the ridge.

A rather loud anthropomorphic arctic fox was standing at a potato stand, trying to get customers. He eventually spots you and motions for you to come over to the stand.

Edited by Orn: 11/13/2016 2:17:02 AMAnd thus, Vinny encountered the samurai, who happened to have been patrolling the streets that day. The sound of booming footsteps could be heard as the seven foot tall warrior approached the newcomer, his helmeted head turning towards Vinny in what seemed to have been an interested manner, the deep red feather that protruded from the back of the helmet shaking slightly upon the movement. The warrior was intimidating, to say the least: his armor was brass and steel, shining vibrantly due to the booming sunlight that was cast upon him and all others in a general vicinity. Dark green and red talismans and pieces of cloth were wrapped around him, each with Japanese symbols depicted upon their cloth, while a tight bright red cloth belt was wrapped around his waist. Upon his back was a singular weapon; a nodachi, and a rather impressive one at that. At exactly six feet long, the elongated katana's steel blade was hidden away by the sheath on the tall man's back, the leather gander protruding from it and remaining completely still, although it seemed as if the man would draw it at any moment. The samurai stopped some feet away from Vinny, about seven feet, before speaking in a deep, gravely voice. "You there. One who seems to be new to the land of Tatakai, and more specifically, this place. You have heard of the Dojo, yes? I see great potential within you, young warrior. You may call me a madman, but trust me...I do."
-
Vinny turned to face the warrior. He was dwarfed compared to the samurai, then again most people probably were. His sharp eyes looked him up and down, sizing him up, making note of his armor, weapons, the way he stood, etc. he let his eyes drift shut as he rested his hands in his front pockets, a slight grin creasing his muzzle. "Great potential, you say? I don't quite catch your meanin' pally."
-
"...Mm. Let me ask you once more. Do you know of the Dojo? The place of learning and fighting? Of honor and combat?" The warrior didn't seem irritated with Vinny - but something in his deep tone suggested that he wasn't here to waste his time. Indeed, he saw potential...or something of the sort, within Vinny. He only had to find a way for the man to achieve his true potential.
-
"Yeah, yeah... I've heard mention of it around town. What's that make you, some kinda sensei or somethin'?"
-
"No. A Tester. Follow me." The warrior turned his back towards the newcomer, although he did not move. He did turn his head back, looking at Vinny quietly. "Well? Do you seek the path to the true meaning of mastering combat or not?"
-
"Eh, don't got nothin' better to do." He shrugs nonchalantly and starts walking behind the samurai.
-
The giant of a man sighed quietly, before moving onwards. Some time later, both Vinny and the warrior found themselves at the gates of the Dojo, while the samurai simply pushed the massive metal doors apart with ease. "You will need to be tested in order to combat others within this place. I will see that you are tested."
-
"Right, right, I got it. Let's get on with it already." He steps through the gates and into the Dojo.
-
The warrior lead Vinny into one of the courtyards of the Dojo, before eventually turning around and facing him. "Now. We duel." In almost an instant, the warrior leaped back to where he was exactly seven feet away from Vinny, drawing his elongated katana in the process as he landed. "The challenger may take the first move."
-
Several guards passed by him, the last of which had a blonde mustache and black, baggy armor. He stepped in front of Vinny while the others disappeared "Hey there Sphirian. You're Sphirian right?"
-
He raises an eyebrow, tilting his head slightly to the left. "Sphirian? Can't say I've heard of 'em."
-
"Heh. Odd. Most fox guys are. Then again we have Quincy." He extends a hand "I'm Kross."
-
He studies his hand for a moment, then grips it and gives him a firm handshake. "Name's Vinny, Vinny Felino."
-
"Sounds like a Italian mobster from the sixties."
-
"Well, that's assessment I suppose."
-
"Hey yo Vinny! Pass the soy sauce." He chuckles

A Mandalorian walks out of a nearby shop, cursing. "And don't expect me back you stuck up son of a Bantha!" He gives an ancient and arcane gesture with his middle finger towards the building before noticing you. "Oh... Um, sorry you had to see that. Idiot merchants... Yeah." He awkwardly lowers his hand.
-
Vinny simply raises an eyebrow, maintaining his ever consistent expression of boredom with his eyes only half open. After a few moments of silence, he shrugs his shoulders nonchalantly.
-
The Mandalorian starts to turn away, then stops. "Wait, you wouldn't happen to be part of Lenny's would you?" His hand slowly creeps towards a blaster pistol at his hip.
-
He scowls slightly and folds his arms across his chest. He speaks with a thick Brooklyn accent. "Lenny? Never heard of 'em."
-
The Mandalorian cocks his head for a moment as his helmet scans you, before seemingly relaxing. "Checks out. I suppose you'd be in the database if you were. There's an open bounty on Lenny's gang. Their real shabuire. Most of them where suits like yours. Can't be too careful."
