The Woods.
The sun lies as an orange sphere of light on the horizon, the few remaining rays of light that it gives off illuminating some areas in the vast Woods. In a thick and heavily shaded section of the Woods, a mass of silver scales and two wings lies curled up next to some rocks. Two gleaming cyan eyes stare out at the setting sun, remembering a different sunset on another planet. The dragon exhales steam before shifting slightly and glancing around.
I immensely doubt anyone would find me out here...

The mighty beast was unfortunately wrong, for in fact someone did find him. Just someone...that could be considered different. Leaves and bushes rustled as a young woman came into the sight of the dragon, standing at a short height of five foot six, with a thin hourglass frame and a weak, frail body. Even then, she was clad in a pair of thick white robes, complemented with red and black tints and shadings. The hood was pulled above the woman's head, shielding her face away from one's sight. A golden and steel claymore rested upon her back, as a broadsword hung loosely at a belt wrapping around her waist. These appeared to be her only weapons, although she seemed to have much more than just that. As the girl stood in the forest, her head suddenly turned towards the direction of the Ahamkara, before staring straight towards him. How could she not detect him? Such power, such might...it was magnifying. The facial features were unique themselves; she had an angular, sharp face, with high cheekbones and smooth olive skin. Tufts of brunette hair could he seen, although it was messy and boyish. And yet, the most defining feature were her eyes; completely clouded with a writhing blue essence, her pupils and irises were hidden away by whatever the stuff was, rendering her completely blind. And yet, she could see the Ahamkara, in all of its might... "You...You pose incredible power... What are you...? Who are you?"

Nightingale's eyes glisten blue and he feels some fear writhe around in his chest. He lifts his head slightly and makes a deep rumbling sound in his throat. I am Nightingale, the last Ahamkara. I hoped that I was hidden away enough that no one would find me easily, but it seems I was mistaken. Perhaps it was my silver scales... Night's eyes glow a bright cyan as he examines the girl ahead of him. He cannot determine whether she poses a threat to him or not. He prepares his flames in case she decides to attack him.
-
"...I see, I see... And Ahamkara? I am unaware of what an..."Ahamkara" exactly is. Perhaps..." The girl drew closer to Nightingale, while she then suddenly bumped into him due to her blindness, a slight "Oof!" escaping her mouth. As she stopped, she raised a frail, skinny hand, feeling the dragon's scales with a look of amazement upon her face.
-
Nightingale lifts his head slightly and looks down at her. He makes a rumbling sound in his throat again.
-
"...A-Am I doing something wrong?" The young girl stuttered slightly, as if fearful for a moment. She couldn't see anything other than a slight aura, so she was quite worried about her own safety.
-
No, you are fine. My rumbling is a sign of friendliness. There is nothing to be afraid of. Nightingale's eyes glow even brighter when he comes to the realization that she was blind. He closes his eyes and makes another rumbling sound as he transmits a mental image of himself to her mind. It is an immense shame that you have the incapacity of sight..
-
The girl's blinded eyes widened with amazement as the image came into her mind, a look of amazement crossing her young face. "W-Wow. That's...amazing. You're amazing...how can you do that?"
-
Ahamkara are able to do many wonderful and magnificent things...but seeing as I am the last, I must learn them all as time goes by. Night makes his eyes glow bright cyan in the mental image.
-
"...I-I think I get it... I-I'm Marcia, by the way. Marcia Rosegold." The young girl chuckled rather awkwardly, still staring in the general direction of the dragon's location. "So, er...why did you come out here, Night?"
-
My kind was hunted to extinction. I wanted to hide away from those that would try to kill me. I have changed my mind. I will hide no longer. Night exhales some steam at the thought of someone attempting to kill him.
-
"People wanted to kill...you?" Marcia sighed slightly at the thought - what did a race do that made them eligible to be hunted to near extinction? Even to her, it was sickening. It was undeserved. "...I'll try to keep you safe. I-If you want me to. I'm a capable mage, even if I'm blind."
-
Thank you. Allies are hard to come by when so many are keen on hunting beings like myself. Nightingale unfurls his wings slightly.
-
Marcia turned her head to face tone wings, although she remained calm and collected at the movement this time. She trusted Night now, from the looks of it. "It's fine. Whoever would put you and your entire race through...that... They best not come around to this place in search of you." The girl's tone was low, almost vicious, and it came evident to Night just then: A - Marcia was actually willing to defend him, and B - She seemed to be very, very violent.
-
Hmmmmm.. Night's eyes glistened brighter and he felt a sense of trust for Marcia.
-
"...Whatcha humming about? Just wondering." Marcia spoke quickly, but not in an offensive tone. She was just...well, interested. She had always been a seeker of knowledge.
-
For me, it is a sign of trust.
-
"Trust..." Marcia smirked slightly, before that smirk turned into a grin. It actually meant a lot to the young mage, to be trusted.
-
Just because you are usually violent means little to me..
-
"Oh. T-Thanks, I guess. Y-You wanna get out of here?"
-
Sure. Nightingale gets up into his feet, his tail flailing around.
-
There was gust of wind and a large flame appeared, a young boy walked out, looking at the Dragon "You've been tough to find."
-
And who would you be?
-
"Nathaniel, the Dragonslayer. Well not really."
-
Nightingale's eyes immediately glow cyan and he makes a deep rumbling sound in his throat. Dragonslayer...
-
"Well yeah. That's his name." The figure shimmers, and shadows are cast over it. Then a new figure emerges toward The Ahamkara "Real name is Royal. Ex- Guardian. You might remember me. So where's Gage?"
Gage is a thing right? Because technically they met in The Descent, which was never released
