The man rolls his eyes.
"You can stop looking at me like that, I'm not going to kill you. If I'd wanted to do that, I would have instead of knocking you unconscious. Instead, maybe you can enjoy a breakfast and not sit there paranoid."

"Ok.."
She says, hooking her finger over the small piece of metal and pulls it back, hearing the round slide into the chamber where she pushes it back forward.

He did nothing, standing still and watching silently. He had a mildly bad feeling in his stomach about this.
-
She kept hacking away, yells of frustration escaping her as the blade raggedly cut through wood and bark. She didn't notice Wolfe, considering he was invisible. She did slow though, her breath coming out in loud huffs from the exertion.
-
He continued to watch, remaining in place.
-
Suddenly, her spine started to tingle, an uneasy feeling washing over her. She felt like she was being watched.. "Is someone there?" She says out loud, her voice low and meek, slightly scared at the situation,
-
Still, he waited. Something wasn't feeling right to him...
-
She seemed innocent, not armored at all and only a sword. Even if things were sketchy, she couldn't take Jackson head on. No, it just looked like a girl taking her frustrations out. "Hello..?" She said once again, eyes searching around.
-
Appearances were deceiving. Nonetheless, he spoke, remaining cloaked. Yeah. You're not alone. Any reason someone in skimpy clothes is running around with swords in the woods? He asked.
-
She flushes red and then snorts. "It's a dress, and it's because I came here without realizing I'd kind of need money for new clothes. So I'm stuck with it." She waves a hand around at the broken trees. "My lumberjack attack is me taking out the frustration of not being able to get a job, or find someone to teach me to use this thing." She says, waving the katana stupidly. "Do you normally talk to girls invisibly? Kinda creepy."
-
He chuckled, analyzing her behavior. Clearly she wasn't experienced, lacking armor, and had a severe lack of environmental awareness. No, I normally don't address people as such. I just happen to have a lot of experience in regards to deception, and I know when something isn't right. He said calmly.
-
"Good for you?" She says questioningly, rubbing her face with her hands. "Who are you?"
-
How about you answer that one first? He asked politely. He may have been quiet when around most of those he knew well, but as an interrogator, he was liable to drive people mad with his abilities to turn questions back around.

Edited by Will: 11/17/2016 4:12:30 AM She sighs and sits down, dropping the sword on the ground beside her and resting her back against a tree, placing her elbows on her knees. "I'm Eve. Eve Brekker." She says, tilting her head back.
-
And where are you from, Miss Brekker? He asked, continuing to watch from his static position.
-
"The Ko-Rudo mountains. Small cabin, me and my dad." She says, picking dirt from under her fingernails.
-
Not a name I recognize. Where is that? he asked, making mental note of her answers.
-
"Here, on Tatakai. About 40 miles north of here." She says like Wolfe is stupid and he should know that.
-
You'll have to forgive me, Miss Brekker, I'm not a native. Particular reason you're here for a job and not there? Bad economy? Perhaps disease, desire for adventure? He asked, mildly interested.
-
"Desire for adventure mostly. Despite what you may think, staring at snow covered mountains all day and night for 20 years isn't exactly enticing." She says, picking her sword back up and turning it over in her hand, seeming mildly interested in the blade. "Do I get your name now, or are we still going with the good cop only cop routine?"
-
Look, I'm not much on hurting people, I'd rather have a civil conversation. You can call me Wolfe. He replied.
-
"Wolfe?" She perks up slightly, looking towards the sound of his voice. "So you're the soldier I've heard so much about. A cowboy told me about you."

Edited by Trashcan Jesus: 11/17/2016 5:11:23 AMHe uncloaked, appearing before her in his full armor. He looked extremely imposing. The exosuit was painted matte black, with scratches and scrapes all across it, along with a few bullet ricochet marks. On his left leg, a large Bowie knife sat in its sheath. At his waist, a leather gunbelt, and at each of his hips, a .44 magnum, Smith and Wesson Model 629 Stealth Hunters. Magnum shells lined the gunbelt as well. Across his chest, a bandolier, with numerous tactical pouches used to store various items for any situation. His cloak was back, exposing both his shoulders and his helmet. On his left pauldron, a kukri was situated in its sheath, and on his right, five .50BMG rounds sat in a sidesaddle. The tip of his blade's hilt could be seen over his right shoulder, the stock of his Barrett M107A1 over his right. However, what stood out the most was the mask he wore. It fully covered his face and head, and the lenses of the eyes glowed an eerie blue. Like the armor, it was painted entirely black, save for three jagged white slashes across the right side, painted bright white. Yeah, that sounds right.
-
She gawked, jaw dropping as she surveyed him. "Jesus.." She muttered, evaluating his armor and attempting to close her mouth. "You're badass." She says with a grin, finally finding words.
-
Not the usual reply I get from people who see me, but I'll take it. He said wryly.
-
"I'm not a usual person." She says with a smile. "JT said you were the one to see if I wanted to actually learn how to use this damn thing." She says, gesturing to the sword. "Or that you knew someone who could."
-
I myself am not particularly trained with Katanas. They're not good against armored opponents most of the time, and I find the blades too thin. I do happen to know a friend who's quite good with them. Wolfe replied. While he could utilize a katana effectively, by no means was he an expert.
