Pan falls from the sky and lands next to the women in a sitting position.
"Hiya!"
English
-
She looks over at Pan, making her eyes now visible. They were a milky brown. This woman was clearly blind, even to Pan. A warm smile was on the woman's face, as if she had not a care in the world. "Hi there."
-
Pan had no idea she was blind. Pan points at the milky eyes. "That's cool! Your eyes look like chocolate milk! All brown and faded like that."
-
"Cool? Heh. That's one way to put it. No, I'm blind. I can't see anything. I use echolocation to know where stuff is. Kinda like a bat does."
-
"Echolalo...Whaaaaat? What is that? And did you get blind from looking at the sun too long? I've been told not to look too long because apparently that can happen."
-
"Nah, I was born blind. Been like this my entire life. And echolocation is when you use the sounds around you, or the ones you make, to figure out where you are."
-
"Huh, can you teach me? I could use that when it gets dark...or if I forget how to open my eye lids again."
-
"Do you have a spare ten years? That's how long it took me to learn how to do it, and that was out of necessity. It's much, much harder then it sounds. Heh. Sounds." Keri chuckles at her own terrible pun.
-
Pan chuckles at the pun as well. "I think ten years is a little too long....So, are you not able to play musical instruments then?"
-
"I can play them just fine. I just can't read sheet music. I can play the guitar and the flute."
-
Pan gasps and hops up and down. "Thank goodness! What is life without music?! My friend Bedlam has been teaching me lately and I love it!"
-
"What have they been teaching you? What instrument, I mean."
-
Pan thinks for a minute before answering. "Well, we started on piano...then guitar, flute, piccolo, tin whistle, violin, cello, bass, and...hmm...Well, I'm on the sax at the moment."
-
"How long have you been learning this stuff? It took me a few years to get the flute down one-hundred percent. Guitar was easy. Hm... You wouldn't happen to have a guitar or ukulele on you, would you? Heh. If only stuff worked out that way."
-
Pan formed a ukulele in her hands and passed it to the women. "It has been a week I think."
-
"I... I'm not even gonna ask how you did that. I've seen people do weirder. Well, not seen, but you get my point. Anyways, shall I start the song?" She strums the chords a few times, trying to get it in tune. She finally does. "Ready to hear it?"
-
Pan nods. "Yes, ma'am! Ready to listen!"
-
She clears her throat, then strums the first few chords. "This is Gospel, For the fallen ones, Locked away in permanent slumber. Assembling, Their philosophies, From pieces of broken memories. Oh. Oh. Their gnashing teeth and criminal tongues, Conspire against the odds, But they haven't seen the best of us yet. If you love me let me go! If you love me let me go! 'Cause these words are knives and often leave scars, The fear of falling apart. And truth be told I never was scarred, The fear of falling apart. Oh. Oh." Her voice... Was absolutely beautiful. The strumming was perfect. Altogether, the price was awesome.

Pan raised her hands in the air and swayed them back and forth.
