"Name's Keri. Just Keri. I don't like to remember my last name... Reminds me of my parents. They left me on the streets when I was born. I was raised in the streets by a more peaceful gang. They tended to not murder people for cash. Nice guys."

"Oh, sure. I'd love to, if anything." A soft chuckle left Luke when Keri burnt her tongue again, a seemingly amused glint in his eyes. Softly, he squeezed the cowgirl's hand, before taking another sip. "Want to get going to the café?"
-
"Sure. Lead the way." She took another sip, waiting for him to start walking. She really liked the guy, so far everything had gone perfectly, like it was planned out of something.
-
Luke nodded, before beginning to walk away from the Starbucks, gradually moving towards the gate of the Dojo. After which a few steps would follow, a few streets.. It was somewhat of a ways ahead. Not too far, though. "You know, Keri.. I'm glad I met you today, truthfully. You're great."
-
"Likewise, Lucas. You're awesome. I just really hope that whatever we have here doesn't end like last time... My last boyfriend died. Horribly. You won't die on me, will you?" She looks over at him, but her face was still a bright smile.
-
He returned the look, also smiling brightly, before speaking nothing other than the truth, "Die on you? No. I don't plan on it. Quite the opposite, if anything. I plan on living a long life. Though, admittedly, I won't further extend my life with cybernetics. And, I hope you don't die on me either. I like what we have here right now, and I really do hope it won't end any time soon."
-
"Long as I have my supply of KAP-8, I'll be around for at least sixty more years. And I'm glad I am. Glad you'll be sticking around too. How far we WE from the cafe?"
-
"At least sixty more years, huh.. Don't think I'll stick around for that long. I'd be ninety-six. A really old man. Though, maybe I can work something out with cybernetics and stuff. And, from the café, we should be quite close."
-
"So... Now that that's settled, got any questions about me? It can be literally anything."
-
"No questions, actually. Do you have any for me? You can ask anything. I'll do my best to answer as best I can."
-
"I don't like asking questions. You've got literally nothing for me? At all?"
-
"I know where you were raised, in Cedyetica, though I suppose you can tell me more about your hometown?"
-
"Not much to tell. It was pretty horrible. Gangs. Drugs. Had to kill a lot of people."
-
"How old were you when you moved out? Meet any interesting people in Cedyetica? I'm certain you did. Place sounds pretty interesting."
-
"I left when I was 29. And yes, I've met a lot of people. Three of which are here. A cowboy named JT, a swordsman named Lance, and a girl named Athena."
-
"JT? He kicked my brother's ass in the tournament. Seriously pissed him off. Heh, sore loser. Lance and Athena I haven't heard about, nor have I met them. Though, I haven't met JT either.. Did you get the cowboy look from him?"
-
"Yep. I take a lot after him, really. Bits of attitude, outlooks on stuff, stuff like that. It's why I'm getting a hat. Complete the look."
-
"Ah, well, I'll still prefer you, Keri." Came Luke's response before he stopped somewhat suddenly. Before the two was a somewhat overdoses log cabin made from oak wood. The large set of doors was closed, though there was a sign that said "open". "And we're here."
-
"It looks... Homely, I guess. It's definitely different. What's the place called?"
I just woke up like twenty minutes ago kill me
-
Not every reply needs to be long.
"It's very homely. Shouldn't all that busy, either - which is good, because I personally dislike crowds. It's called the 'Goldenridge Inn', for some reason."
-
"I'm used to crowds and stuff, so you literally could've taken me anywhere for this. But, shall we go in?"
-
"I suppose, but I've not done much exploring, and since I didn't want to wander for hours to find a place, I went here. And yes, we shall." With a grin, Luke moved to the one of the two doors, pushing it open with his right shoulder, and then keeping it open for Keri to enter.
-
Keri walked in, clicking her tongue a few times to get the full picture of the place. Maybe it would be really nice. Maybe not. The log exterior wasn't really getting her hopes up.
-
Luke quickly joined Keri at her side after closing the door, leaving the cold outside. He grinned as he looked around the place, which was more like an inn because I'm a fan of inns, okay? The interior was.. well, I dunno how to call it. It was nice and warm inside, a large fireplace that spread its heat through the room being at the left wall, a very small amount of people being gathered around it for the warmth. There were round, wooden tables - each with two to four chairs - spread through the establishment, most of which were unoccupied. Straight ahead of the two was the bar/counter, behind which a smiling, balding man stood, an apron covering his white shirt and black pants.
-
It was certainly.... Interesting. She'd only seen bright lights and metal... This was very different. A major case of culture shock. It wasn't very bad... She kinda liked it actually. "Umm... I like the place."
-
"Well, that's certainly good to hear. I mean, I guess it somewhat works out with you having the cowgirl look and all. Anyway, want to get the menu?" Luke truly was happy she liked it, having been somewhat anxious to see Keri's response to the place.
