To what extent do you think the way a person sneezes is a reflection of their personality?
For example, a person who makes what appears to be a deliberately loud wind-up (AAAAHHHH...) and release (CHOOOOO!) could be described as obnoxious and histrionic, therefore doing so to draw attention to themselves.
On the other hand, someone who tries to hide their sneezes by making little, if any noise, might be someone who is shy and avoidant because they don't want to be noticed by others.
Other body language could be relevant too.
For example, a person who sneezes into their hands (and what they then do with them), compared with someone who sneezes into their clothing, or doesn't cover their mouth and aims for the floor.
These may be reflections of a person's understanding of hygiene, whether they care about those around them, or whether they believe they are entitled to do so in a given situation.
Have a think about people you know who sneeze in a particular way. Does their sneeze reflect the kind of person they are?
How would you describe your own sneeze?

What if I guest... sneeze? Like, *achoo* and done.

Edited by pValue2010: 11/24/2016 9:26:18 AMPersonality could be part of it, but the way people sneeze is also largely down to habit. I sneeze the same way since I was a kid and don't really think about it.

I'm not going to reply as I might get banned...
-
I dunno, I usually just sneeze right in your face loudly.. I apologize after so it is totally fine.
-
A metaphor for how i sneeze
-
Lol there's no way. I am very shy to meeting new people pretty at home on the regular, but my sneezes are uncontrollable. Like I sneeze and usually kick my leg they come out so hard. I also always sneeze into my hands and wash them afterwards, but boy you don't wanna know where these hands have been any other time.

I have never seen my best friend sneeze. 0_0

I'm a relatively quiet introverted person, but I sneeze loud as shit. It's not something I can consciously control, I cover my mouth and try to muffle it but to no avail.
-
I sneeze loud to piss off anyone in my vicinity, only if I know them.
-
I have the most generic sneeze ever. Not loud. Not those weird hilarious quiet sneezes some people have. Just a normal sneeze
-
Well I'm a shy, quiet, reserved individual and my sneezes are like the love child of a rocket launch, a hurricane, and Donald Trump.
-
I agree, my sneezes are quiet and I'm generally a pretty shy and quiet person
-
i doubt sneezing has anything to do with judging someones personality, but whatever. its essentially a loud cough
-
I'd agree.

If I'm around other people, I pull the neck of my shirt up over my nose and sneeze. It's a little loud, but I don't do for attention. By myself, however, my sneeze sounds like a shotgun. My grandmother's sneezes are even louder, as I can be outside and hear her inside the house.
-
V sneeze. Controlled. Polite. Just be sure to clean the elbow pit afterwards, if necessary. Now when someone says "Bless you" my response will be "Don't judge me!".
Try and sneeze while keeping your eyes wide open.
-
>mouth closed >eyes closed >big windup (it makes the sneeze really quite >sneeze It's like I just twitched
-
Like I wasn't self-conscious enough as it was, now I've got to worry about the way I sneeze? Thanks Daz.
-
My sneezes are loud and manly, my laugh on the other hand
-
I assert my dominance over the people in my household by taking the biggest sneeze I can.
-
My sneeze are loud, I can't really control that it's just how they are

Edited by CAMMCAM: 11/22/2016 4:52:46 AMMy sneeze is -blam!-ing adorable and shy like... Complete opposite of me. I do sneeze into my shirt though. I'm usually wearing a t-shirt so it's easy to grab the collar and stretch it over my nose and mouth. I'm very cautious about spreading germs unnecessarily. I would never sneeze into my hands. Gross.

I sneeze elegantly and without mercy
