You Want Me? -blam!-ing Take It.
And so, there JT stood, alone in his armour suit, in the Shi Canyon. He stood in the centre of the canyon, angered and prepared for what was to come.
Ver and Ginger. Your fights will be separate events, because I don't do group gankings.
Edited by GingerlyWalnut3: 11/24/2016 3:39:53 AMDrake jumped off of the side of the canyon, falling a good 20 meters, before blasting his repulsers at the last second, breaking his fall. He crouched at the impact, and slowly stood up to his full height, brushing off his crimson jacket, yet something was different. He wore armored plates on his chest, shoulders, and shins--JT knew from experience that it was made of carbon-nanotubes, and that they were nigh impenetrable. Drake didn't wear a helmet, but his pale blue eyes blazed with a determination and power that you hadn't seen in the smuggler before. "Let's finish this. Here, and now."
-
"Treyman? Wrong guy." JT just chuckled, for the carbon tubes weren't his biggest concern, they could be done away with. Soon, the boom of artillery would fall in the background as JT stepped forwards, though it was unknown whether it was a tactical thing or just for flair.
-
Drake doesn't say anything else, his voice more like a growl as he begins to walk forwards, reaching into his back for a strange weapon. A helmet forms over his face from plates behind his ears, and he draws his weapon. A single friction beam ricochets off of several refraction panels, creating hundreds of blistering laser bolts that blast in JT's direction. As he walks forward, JT can't help but feel a certain heaviness in his movements--not out of fear or anything of the like, but as if his movements were becoming sluggish.
-
What is Drake's weapon doing? If it's EMP, it won't work on JT's movements.
-
His weapon is just a high-ROF blaster. What he's feeling isn't an EMP--it's one of Drake's abilities. He leeches off of energy, and JT needs to run his armor/augments somehow.
-
Ah, fair enough.
The leeching fed off the motor that was JT's heart, as it started to suck the energy and siphon power while JT kept some going for him. Though soon, a cluster of bombs would fall over the canyon and create a deep miasma of purple, and soon Drake would feel a deep, insatiable itch on any exposed skin, as well as have trouble breathing without filtration.
-
Drake had no exposed skin, and his helmet had a filtration system, as it was meant for HAZOP activities. The laser bolts were blisteringly hot, and while they were fairly weak individually, it had the ROF of a minigun. It would melt JT to slag if he stayed out in the open for much longer.
-
JT's armour had 9 inches of heat dispersing ceramic to allow for a slight bit of time added onto the little he had, so he allowed his LMG to roar to life as he moved to a sixteen foot tall rack as cover. The barrel of the gun scanned for targets, and of Drake would come near, then the 200 round 50. Caliber gun would unleash its payload on him.
-
Drake extended a hand, and plasma formed over his palm. He fired a repulser blast, supercharged by his siphoned energy that turned the metal cart to molten slag and shoved JT back several feet. He activated a blue shield on his gauntlet, and holstered his laser weapon. With his prosthetic arm, he flicked his wrist, and a large pistol fell out of a sealed compartment in his forearm. With careful aim, he fired several shots into partially-melted sections of JT's armor, where they were lodged, neither penetration nor being reflected.
-
The shots made it four inches into JT's 18 inch thick metal suit, before all the 50. Caliber rounds were being sent flying towards Drake as the Tag Sight function of the LMG kicked in. Meanwhile, JT raised his left arm to Drake as his right arm grabbed the .700 Nitro shotgun on his back, and a series of three incendiary grenades were fired at Drake and two frags joined in. Four grenades, one for each direction and one, a frag, headed towards Drake.
-
With reactions only enabled by his prosthetic arm, Drake raises the blue shield on his gauntlet. Instead of creating an energy barrier, it creates a ridiculously powerful electromagnetic shield, that catches the bullets and one of the grenades, and tosses them back at JT, before it collapses. He catches one of the frag grenades, and creates a telekinetic barrier around it, absorbing the energy it releases as it detonates. However, the other grenades explode right at his feet, and his body is sent flying several meters, his armor smoking. He throws his hand out as he lies on the ground, and a crackling fog is released rapidly from his palm, obscuring the battlefield. You expect to lock onto him with your tag sight, but whatever this electric smoke is, it seems to be interfering with target locks.
-
JT just chuckled as he activated the X-ray of his suit, to see past the dense fog and the hell of electric smoke and purple miasma that was the Shi Canyon. JT had a few tricks still up his sleeve although the Marshal wasn't to employ them yet, so rather he used the tiny bit of magic he possessed - And yes he does possess some after a long operation - To create a barrier of metal around him, a ring in the dirt.
-
Drake allowed him to create the barrier, taking the time to lick his own wounds and focus his power during the brief respite. He hadn't yet attained mastery over his powers, and embarking on such an ambitious plan as he was plotting required focus. For now, he'd ask a question that had been gnawing at him for weeks. "So, why did you and your men shoot Beta? Nice, innocent girl at the wrong place at the wrong time? It isn't SOP to shoot civilians that're only scary, y'know, especially if they're just kids. So why'd you do it?"
-
"She came outside and was speaking to your goat friend as he had the beacon up, so I found it safe to assume she was Arrowhead and a threat. She came outside and may have been carrying a weapon, so I shot first and looked after. Truthfully I didn't care who she was, I had no intention to kill anyone, only to get the crew to go bother the SHG or some shit because the Republic has too much in its plate. Afflicted, its own colonies, it's pretty -blam!-ed out there man."
-
Sawyer stood there, smiling. "Nothing witty here. Let's go, major."
Im pulling many stops. Be braced
-
As am I.
JT just walked forwards. Nothing to say, nothing to do but walk.
-
"Well... start."
-
When the Cowboy got close to Sawyer, he pretended to throw a punch but cut himself short to test Sawyer's reflexes.
-
Sawyer barely even flinched, and grabbed JT's arm instinctively, twisting it in a sickening, inhuman way.
