"There are lots of these types of creatures back on my home world. F there are none available for my experiments, I have to make one."
A much larger orb falls down in the center of the room. The solid dragon starts to come out of the semi solid one. After about a minute, the solid one flies towards the orb head first, while the semisolid one is thrown against the rooms outer wall. It seems like the solid one is, for the most part, unharmed. The semisolid one, however, can't manage move at all.
"I think it is time to get the orbs out of there. Would you press that button again?"

"Hmm repels the slime one and draws the solid one in...." She hits the button as she thinks about the strange orbs that were in the room. "How do they work?"
-
The orb is sucked out of the room. The solid dragon, seeing that the semisolid one is no longer stuck on the wall, runs as fast as he can to a corner of the room. The semisolid one slowly makes its way towards the solid one. "Well, the semisolid ones have a sort of... membrane around themselves. It helps them keep their overall form. Even if they didn't have it, they would still look the same, it would just take more energy to stay together. The membrane and the insides are constantly next to each other, but they never chemically bond in most parts of the body. This, combined with multiple different chemical reactions constantly happening inside the creature, create a strange anti-friction. This anti-friction is very easy to repel. The orbs are made of a material that repel anti-friction." The semisolid dragon lunges at the solid dragon again, but this time the dragon breathes fire at the semisolid one. The semisolid dragon retreats back for a second, but then lunges again, successful this time. "Stupid dragon, he shouldn't have stopped spraying flames. That is the only way he could survive."

"Should we... you know, stop them?"
-
"Well, that is our next test. I need to see how much that semisolid dragon can ingest before something bad happens. And that is what most of these buttons are meant for. So, as long as you press the buttons one at a time, you can basically press any one of these buttons over here." He gestures to a set of buttons separated from the rest by their interesting square size.

"Maybe I should simplify a few things to just buttons at my lab. Usually I have everything tethered to my computer and have to input codes for everything. Anyways how long are you predicting this will go on for?"
-
"The buttons are quite nifty. I used to have to do everything by hand, which was quite dangerous. This was going to be my last experiment, but you can leave whenever you like." Another dragon of similar size is dropped into the testing chamber. This one, seeming a bit headstrong and foolish, dives directly at the semi-solid dragon.

"Your going to end up with a lot of dead dragons aren't you?" She says looking generally dissapointed in the dragon for charging as bluntly as it did. "But yeah I should probably take care of a few things. Maybe we can test a few theories some time"
