Luana slid her 9mm pistol Gevena Der from its holster and bringing it to Garin's head. Her hand shook and legs wavered, tired from the long and weary trek that had taken to her there, but also uncomfortable to stare down the barrel of his gun.
"My question is the same," she spoke with a hint of desperation as the rifle's barrel began to prod her.

You first. The rifle remained in the same position, unwavering, ready to kill.
Ready to kill you-*gets sniped*
-
"Luana Kalhye, Empress of Avaran. Now, you." She took deep breaths, calming down and forcefully peeling her eyes off of the gun so as to regulate her breathing.
-
Empress? Garin notices this change in her demeanor, and slings the rifle over his shoulder. He then jumps down from his perch on the gates and lands with a soft thump next to Luana. Garin Fohrik, at your service. He bowed to a moderate depth, then sprang back up. So. What's your business here?
-
Her heart fluttered, stature changing to a more natural and relaxed one as the gun was bolstered by Garin. She took a second to catch her breath, a chuckle accompanying her regaining of regulated "... Nice to meet you, Garin. Hopefully that... aggressive precaution is long underway?" She asked with a smile, outstretching her hand. "And I'm here to study, train, learn. Escape demons, if you will. Most secure place in the universe is right here. That's what I've heard, at least."
-
He took her hand, delivering a smooth yet firm handshake. Lately, it hasn't been so secure. With the Twilight wars... Well, we lost good people. These people here aren't invincible. So don't expect any great feat of power or magic. He sighs a sad sigh, then chuckles. You know, I ought to tell you about that time back in Greatness. Man, that was fun. But enough about me and the past. How about you?
-
She returned the handshake, one of surprising strength, despite a small and rather fragile stature. "Well, it's the safest place I know of, at least." She sighed, somewhat dissapointed by the response given. As for the question about herself, she looked at her boots, firmly implanted in the snow. "That's somewhat of a long story. I'm not here to cry, or relapse, regardless. I'd... rather not speak of it, if possible. No particularly interesting of a story, regardless..." She seemed to ramble off, whispering incomprehensibly under her breath, eyes dilating and staring off into space.
-
He reached out and touched her shoulder. You okay? He looked worried, thinking "Oh god, did I just trigger a traumatic flashback?"
-
She sharply looked forward as his hand graced her shoulder, eyes focusing on reality once again. She inhaled steadily and stopped rambling. "No, I'm fine. And nothing happened there, not anything serious. Just... bad memories. Old memories." She squirmed, uncomfortable about the subject.
-
Alright. I just... He blushed, then turned to face the Dojo walls. *inaudible to Luana* Idiot. Come on. I can take you- He stopped himself and smirked. Actually, if you want in, you have to fight me.
For free, of course.

^=inside joke
-
One) All are welcome in the dojo so stop trying to get with her Garin! Two) Garin isn't even a tester xD it wouldn't matter so stop trying to score
-
Right... I'm not a tester. Doesn't mean I can't- Oh.
-
Twas but a joke. But yeah, only testers can do that
-
She heard the small comment that Garin muttered under his breath and tittered at the awkward tone of the statement. "No, I'm fine with where I am. Combat isn't necessary for me, inside the Dojo and out. I'm only here for added safety and peace of mind, remember?"
Cobalt is testing me fam
-
Well the Dojo is actually for combat, so... At lightning-fast speeds, Garin withdrew his .308 revolver and fired a shot at Luana's feet. Fight.
-
She took out her Vorpal Blade in equal speed, deflecting the shot from the .308 revolver on the sword; in fact, the pure energy coursing from its hilt to the dual-edged core of the blade made the bullet disintegrate within half a second of it even reaching the sword. With the defensive counter neutralized, she smiled while rushing forward and pivoting the sword like a spear.
-
Impressive. He parried the attack, and moved to slash you across your back with his right hand while pulling out a phone with his left. Ian? Yeah, I might need your assistance. Right.
-
She pulled out her gun, squinted an eye and blasted it out of Garin's hand while he was pre-occupied with making the call. She smiled, deflecting the attack - not without it slightly nicking her back - attacking once again with lightning speed.
-
He ended the call and looked at you like "Seriously?". Really?
