Yeah finally put this game aside for a while - just finished mass effect 1 and playing mass effect 2 right now. On black Friday i got mass effect 3, bioshock collection (never played), doom, and tomb raider. For multiplayer I've been playing Titan fall 2, Forza horizon 3, and halo pretty regularly.
After I get through these games the new mass effect and ghost recon are on my radar.
Ill definitely stay tuned for destiny 2 though!
I started going through mass effect again.
Showing my gf the series but the first game is a chore.

Yeah it's my first time going through the series. Ill be honest in saying that I definitely rushed through ME1 (poor wrex was shot by Ashley) The combat, graphics, and frame rate just felt so dated. Still enjoyed the story and characters though. However when I fired up mass effect 2 - what a difference! Graphics actually still hold up pretty well, and the combat feels so much better. Been taking my time in mass effect 2 doing all loyalty missions and side quests and can't get enough. Character cast is outstanding

Rushing through it means you missed a lot of awesome content though, even the random side missions tend to be mentioned in later games, some more prominently than you'd think. for example theres a section with 4 systems you have to kill geth bases on in each, the instant you go to the ship and to the galaxy map you have a choice what to do with the data you got. You lose the data immediately after that convo. if you see tali first she makes a copy, and its mentioned immediately in me2 when she doesn't trust you, and instantly gains her trust with some new dialogue. many people don't even know you can give it to her, it's never mentioned. cool stuff.
