[b]Them dang critters...[/b]
[u]Some random bakery in Dojoville[/u]
Twas an averagely-peaceful day in Dojoville for once. Up until some loud crashing could be heard and an angry baker runs out of his shop waving a frying pan. He was chasing a large, orange, furry blur that stumbled through the large crowd of people with an entire loaf of bread in its maw. The fat old baker couldnt keep up and gave up, as he could always make more bread.
[i]Woods near Dojoville[/i]
The large orange-ish brown blur was a werefox. He was on all fours and appeared to be 5'6" until he stood, revealing he was a tall-ish 7'9". He held onto a tree for support with one hand-paw and took the bread out of his mouth with the other, catching his breath. He started ripping up the bread and dropping it down a small hole for some reason.

[b]Audax steps in front of him.[/b] "I believe that bread doesn't belong to you."

He jumps, dropping the bread. "Gyah!" He takes a step back nervously, quite startled and quite fearful.

"You have four options. One, pay for the bread, two, replace it with something of greater value, three, face the maximum penalty that law allows, or four fight me. If you best me, then you are good to go. However, I must remind you that if you choose option four then you are literally fighting for bread."

"P-please, i swear i didn't do it just for kicks! I d-don't have any m-money to actually PAY for anything.. I tried and tried getting a job to pay for things and no one would hire me because no one wants a big orange monster in their store, business, whatever. The only reason i took it was to keep my family f-from starving.." He sounded genuine, and rather young. Definitely not the thief type.

"That is quite interesting. I think I might have a fifth option for you. Have you heard of a mercenary?"

"I d-dont kill for money..." he said grimly.

"Not even if it were to protect the dojo?"

He sighed. "Explain what you want. But that isn't a yes."

"Fine. I understand that a friend of mine pays good money to experiment on different creatures, and even more if he hasn't seen one before."

"And what do you want me to do, exactly?" He tensed up.

"Well, I don't really know. Destanius runs the program, so you will have to come back to the ship with me."

"You mean i'd be the one getting experimented on? How is that mercenary wor-..." He cut himself off, realizing the man was the mercenary. He took off running faster than any human could, constantly changing direction so it would be harder to follow him.

[b]Audax sprinted off after him. If a tree got in his way, he just gunned it down with [i]Thunder[/i]. He saw the werewolf.[/b] "Requesting fast ground assistance in my location." [b]A giant treaded four wheeler came barreling out of no where. Audax hopped on and started pursuing the werewolf.[/b]

He ran towards a large river, running towards a fallen log that was next to the river and extended out above the river. His heart raced as he heard the loud gunfire. He sprinted off the log, leaping to the other side. The log broke after he jumped off of it.

[b]The four wheeler's tires turned into fans, and the four wheeler hovered across the water. When the vehicle landed, the fans changed back into wheels and it continued to pursue the werefox.[/b]

Kari glances behind him, making sure he had the mercenary's full attention. He continues running, obviously aiming to get lost in the HUGE heavily wooded area. Rocks started appearing around the area as well.

"Perhaps I should have ordered a speeder, this guy is fast!" [b]Audax yelled over the whistling of the wind.[/b] "Do you have a rifle on you?" "Yes I do, here you go." [b]The driver said, his tone giving away that he was sad to see his rifle depart from him. Audax loaded a single dart into it and aimed at the werefox.[/b]

Over the sound of rushing wind, his beating heart, and the vehicle, Kari heard the sound of the gun being loaded. He was not about to die the way his parents did. He spotted out a trench in the ground, probably a result of seismic activity in the area, and jumped into it. Upon scanning the trench, he found the entrance to a small cave. "Perfect.." he said as he made his way into the hole in the earth. Eventually, when it was pitch black, he shimmied behind a large rock, hiding him from the entrance to the cave.

[b]Audax jumped off the four wheeler and into the crater. He stood directly in front of the cave entrance.[/b] "You can no longer run from fate. My offers still stand, but only for a few more minutes."

He stays hidden, not making a sound.

"Eh, it's been long enough." [b]Audax storms in the cave.[/b]

He stays behind the rock, still completely silent in the total darkness of the small cavern.

"Huh, it looks like the only thing in here is rocks. Better start heading out..." [b]Audax says sarcastically. He then starts disintegrating every single rock in the entire cave with [i]Lightning[/i].[/b]
