[b]Where did they even come from?[/b]
[i]A cave in the glade.[/i]
Karishad had just gotten back from taking his sister for a walk around Dojoville. When he walked back into the cave his family was taking refuge in for some time. The cave was lit by a few torches, illuminating the musty air and floor. His younger sister and brother came running up to them excitedly, hugging his legs. His grandmother was resting in the back of the cave on a deer-skin cot. In fact, most of their things seemed to be deerskin... His sisters' wore short dresses made from deerskin, and his brother simply wore a loincloth as most of his fur hasn't grown in yet. He set his one sister down and told them to go play as he started dinner. He went to a different place in the cave and began utilizing the small rations he managed to collect the last time he went hunting. He sighed as he realized he wouldn't have enough for himself...

[i]Artemis laughs so hard she falls out of her chair and rolls on the ground.[/i]

Kari sets his head back as he pants, his tongue a little red. "Gyyaahhh...hooot..."

[i]Artemis continues to laugh.[/i] "You had no idea!"

Kari's grandma chuckles to herself and the three just watch, still nomming on sushi. Kari: "No..-pant pant pant- i did not... -more panting-"

[i]Artemis sits back down with a smile.[/i] "That was so cu-funny! Funny! Hehehe..." [i]Artemis chuckles nervously.[/i]

He chuckles as well, pretending not to notice as he pants. He downs half another glass of water until talking. "That was -burp- spicy."

"Yeah, sorry. I should've told you about. Kari was it?"

"Yeah, my full name's Karishad though. And no worries, i enjoyed the spice. I dont get to eat exotic foods often."

[i]Artemis takes a few sips of water.[/i] "So, what brings your family here?"

"We're somewhat nomadic, we travel around a bit. I was scouting a few caves around the mountain range around here when a cave i was in collapsed and crushed my leg. Some nice fellows found me and brought me to the Dojo's infirmary. Sooner than later i was back on my feet. It took me a day or two to find my family again, but we've managed to mostly stick together... mostly anyhow..." his voice becomes a little saddened. A pretty interesting though to ponder would be 'gee, whats this kid doing taking care of his three siblings and grandma by himself?'.

[i]Artemis hesitantly asks.[/i] "Why are you alone taking care of three siblings and your grandmother?"

He sighs. "I've been taking care of them for say, maybe six years now... my parents...they..well...long story short they aren't here..."

[i]Artemis' ears go down.[/i] "I'm sorry, Kari. I bet they were great parents and would love what you've done for your family."

He sniffles. "Th-thanks... i like to think i honor them by taking care of everyone else.."

[i]Artemis smiles at Kari in a comforting way.[/i] "You guys can leave if you're done eating. I'll stay and pay."

Kari looks up at her. "Would you like to walk back with us? I mean, im guessing you don't have anything to do but if you do, thats ok.."

[i]Arty shrugs and places money on the table.[/i] "I guess I could follow."

After they leave the restaurant, they still had to walk through part of Dojoville to get to the woods. They got a fair amount of second glances as they went by. After some more time, they had arrived at their cave. "Thanks again for that Artemis..it was nice." he said, his voice sounded happier than it did when she first arrived.

[i]Artemis smiles, happy with what she has done.[/i] "Your welcome, Kari and Kari's family."

Kari's grandma hugs her all grandma-like. Grandma: "Now you take care of yourself, and make sure you come back. I haven't seen Kari so happy in years." She seemed to have whispered it in her ear. After Grandma hugs her, the little three hug her as well, only able to hug her legs and waist.

[i]Arty's eyes dart to the ground and she blushes from the elder's comment. She happily kneels down to hug the kids.[/i]

After the kids are done hugging her, Kari hugs her, quite tightly. She couldn't see it but while hugging her he wiped a tear from his face. "Thank you Artemis.." He broke up the hug once he realized he might have been squeezing her a little too tight.

He rubs his arm, hiding a blush. "Well, we'll be fine from here on out. You probably have something to do later, or tomorrow or something.."

[i]She starts to play with her tail and has a slight blush.[/i] "Y-Yeah I should go...."
