I'm pretty sure everyone knows Destiny was a let-down. Regardless, we still had our good times playing the game. The incredibly overhyped story and unbalanced PvP (It's getting better) kinda make me think This game is just an overhyped piece of garbage that we all bought because of "false" advertisement.
Can anyone give me a reason to actually start playing again, because I'm not having any fun trying to grind over and over again.
-
If you have to ask the question, you already know the answer. Quit seeking validation and make a decision for yourself. I'm not going to justify to you why you should or shouldn't play as my reasons will undoubtedly be different to yours, and that's a flawed base to start off from.

I want the warlock boots... One day the exotics boots I found will be for me.
-
lol people play because they like the game, if you are not enjoying it just play another game and leave those who are not yet over it grind out. im playing incase of transfer.
-
Just move on to better games, you'll feel better.
-
Unbalanced PvP (it's getting better) Lol nope

The only reason I like playing Destiny anymore is the gameplay. This is by far the best game with the best game mechanics. But with all the lag and crap, it's hard to enjoy.
-
Damn what do you guys want from this game? There a only a handful of games that are able to keep players occupied for more than a few months. Mainly large open worlds, sports titles, and a few FFS. I only managed to play MW2 (back in the day) for about 5 months before it was just a repeated grind for prestigious. I get the impression that some people expect an ever flowing waterfall of content. If your bored, go play another game, take a break and return when you just want shoot some guns and feel Destiny for what it is, a decent shooter that genuinely feels like nothing else on the market.
-
Because you are not a true gamer... :p
-
Wasn't a let down for me, still playing a year and a half later.....
-
If you're a podcast guy, listen to Crucible Radio - their latest episode is really great and frankly it made me waaay more sympathetic towards Bungie... I mean I was anyway, but for real. Destiny is an excellent game, it's just hard to please everyone and making games is expensive.

I think after three 400s and finishing the content, the only real reason to play now is if you're like me, and you just like fps games more than any other kind of video game, and you just like going around shooting stuff. There are still guns I haven't had drop, or have only had drop with bad rolls. So I'm still having fun using new weapons, and shooting the minions of darkness. Also, I took my very first foray into hard mode WoTM last night, and I don't have Outbreak Prime yet, so I've still got stuff to work on.

Unless you like mindless super repetitive PvP Destiny doesnt have much to offer other than solid game play mechanics.
-
I play because crucible is fun
-
if you don't like it then buy a new game ffs
-
Basic principle of gaming: if you are not having fun, stop playing the game.
-
If you're not having fun then play something else, no need for a post asking randoms to validate why you can't get off the hammer wheel
-
Don't, the game is supposed to be fun. If you can't find anything fun to do anymore just stop playing. It seems a lot of people treat destiny way more seriously then it needs to be. Just play some other games for awhile, and wait for destiny 2, or wait a couple of months, and come back. Destiny is a fun time, and a lot of people have great memories of it because it's the most successful MMO type game on the platform. It certainly doesn't mean it's perfect.

The music alone is incredible but the gun play mechanics are way above average and there is a lot of great things about the game. The biggest issue for me is the lag is so ridiculous so many 1 shot and 2 shot deaths and unexplainable circumstances happening that it has turned fun into frustration but i have faith it will be fixed. The game has gotten better and better since its release.

People enjoy all different types of games so I'm not suprised at all people continue to play Destiny. Even though personally I don't think there's much more than a months worth of play time out of any dlc. For the type of game it is it's very shallow and basic. Why not play a proper mmo? That's what I've done anyway.
I know, 12 people in a tower doesn't make it a mmo, but that's the style of game it's trying to replicate
But look each to thier own so if you enjoy it keep playing 👍

If you have to ask others why you should do something, you probably shouldn't.
-
I'm playing because simply enough, that's what I like about Destiny. I enjoy the climb to the next maximum light level, and I enjoy the "grind". I'm not obligated to play, but I play it because I genuinely enjoy it. Bungie games just have a way of drawing me in, I suppose.

Gameplay has saved destiny
-
No reason to start playing again but with all its flaws it's been one of the greatest games ever made. A lot of people will disagree with that statement but how many games have this kind of following going into its 3rd year.
-
Because it has ruined every other game, the fast paced gameplay, loot, customization, the gun play. Can't get my fix anywhere else
-
Definitely not garbage. Falsely advertised? Sure. Garbage? Stop it. I still play this game enjoyably after 2 years. No other game I've played comes close to that play time. Like ever. I started on Atari and coleco vision so I have a pretty broad stable of games under my belt.
