Guardians Rising Episode 40

EPISODE 40 STRANGER THINGS 3 HOURS BEFORE The Stranger transmatted inside the Hangar. This time she was carrying a green version of her rifle. She walked across the plaza now. Everyone was gone. She walked into the Vanguard Hall. There, Eris Morn stood. The Hidden turned around and her green eyes opened. “Eris, the Guardian. Where is he?” The Stranger asked. Eris muttered to herself and spoke to the Stranger. She had questions. “You hide from me. The day you were at the Tower after Aion killed the heart. Yet now you of all people want answers?” “This has nothing to do with dark!” Stranger put her rifle on her back. “These are Guardians we are fighting on this day Eris! The Light has been turned against itself once again.” “You were not forged in Light. Yet you of all people fight for it.” The Hidden’s voice darkened. “Just as easily as you killed a Vex with your boot, an Acolyte tore out my eyes. You know nothing of what has been done.” The Stranger looked at Eris and frowned. “I came to you to ask of your knowledge of Light turned against itself. I suppose I will ask Efrideet instead.” Eris stared with her three eyes. “Efrideet knows nothing. The Darkness is the true threat. You know as well as I that the next Prince is coming. The Pride to Malok, Nokris, brother of Crota, and son of Oryx. He will reach this system, in his Dreadnaught. Nothing can stop an orphan. Especially one that knows the killers of his family are living.” “Eris. The Darkness is not my concern today, perhaps it is tomorrow but not today. The Concordat are destined to kill 6 million people!” Eris turned around. “New Monarchy will perish.” She said. “As for the rest?” The Stranger looked to her. “History repeats itself. It kills those that were never meant to die and creates weapons no one should have. This mass extermination is long overdue, my Hidden Friend.” The Stranger stared Eris in her three eyes. The corrupted Guardian stared silently. “Eris, the Guardian will die tonight.” The Stranger said this in a calm yet urgent manner. “One way or another, Aion will die in battle by dawn tomorrow.” Eris walked behind the Stranger. “You have survived so long, yet now you rely on terrestrial constraints?” Eris was obviously angered. The “Do you even Time Travel?” Asked a voice from the stairs. “We are all bound by Time, and though we have broken these bonds, it still has but one grasp upon us, Space. We are not ghosts, not like Toland or Osiris, we are consistent with reality, and stay in a physical form. We use Guardians because we're pretty damn lazy.” A cloaked figure walked towards them, a single azure ye stared from the dark recesses of the hood. “Stay out of this.” The Stranger said to the figure. “I have seen a world in which the Taken end everything, I have seen the Cabal turn the sun to atoms, I have even seen a world where Wolves win the Reef Wars. You have no place to speak in my Time Traveling capabilities.” “And Toland is no Ghost. He leads me like so many through the dark. and your timeline is only one en-” Eris was cut off by the second stranger laughing, and his eye turning crimson. “YOU THINK THAT SH*T IS BAD OVER THERE? THINK A-F***ING-GAIN! ALL THAT IS LEFT FROM MY TIMELINE IS A SHIP FLYING THROUGH THE BLEAKEST ASSHOLE IN SPACE. THE ONLY THING! YOU TALK SH*T, BUT DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT YOU TOOK THE SIDE OF THE SH*TSTORM THAT WAS EASY TO DEAL WITH.” The Stranger walked up to them. “The cancer will end us all. Time is doomed either way.” Then a Dark presence grew within the people of the room. Someone walked from the shadows. It was a Warlock, but Taken. They wore Miasma Armor. (WotM set) “UGH, LOOKS LIKE IT’S TIME TO LIVE UP TO MY TITLE…” He walked up to the Warlock. “Hey buddy, nice threads! You look tired… WANT A LITTLE BIT OF ENTERTAINMENT?” The lock quickly responded. “No.” They then put their hand up and the stranger was blown back into the ceiling. “Do you want to die?” The lock floated upwards and put their Dreadfang against the second stranger’s neck. “DO YOU WANT SOME F***ING ENTERTAINMENT?” The Warlock then put their hand in a choking formation and threw the Stranger to the floor. “UGH… AGH… BEING… CHOKED! I CAN SEE MY HALF-LIFE FLASHING BEFORE MY EYE! AHHHHHHH! HAVE MERCY! HAVE MER-AHAHAHAHAHAA! WE’RE EXO’S, DIPDICK.” The Second Stranger got up, and threw off his cloak, revealing that he was entirely machine. He had but one arm, clawed legs, some kind of spinning mechanism in his left arm, and a whole load of ammunition strapped to him. “The name’s Twitcher, by the by! Have a -AWFUL- Nice day!” The left-arm hand retracted to reveal an old piece of Golden age Tech, a “Minigun”, filled with Arc Rounds. He fired, and the entire room was torn up, the stranger tackled Eris, and took cover behind Daltec’s countertop, upon which many Crucible documents were kept, made into little Origami Handcannons. Then suddenly sirens went off. the Vanguard came rushing in with the Faction Representatives. the Concordat were attacking the City. *RETURN TO PRESENT TIME* “This seems bad.” Cayde said. The massive Dead Orbit super cruiser was heading down towards the Tower. At full speed. The Hunter Vanguardian had repaired most of his face plate. Ikora stared at him. She was bleeding. Amanda was trying to fix the console to prevent the destruction of the cruiser and the City. “Hey kids, need a convenient saviour?” Daltec was poking his head inside a window. “Yeah, thanks buddy!” Cayde shouted back. Daltec nodded, and Area-Matted them out of the ship. He surged with Arc energies, and summoned the Shade, stopping the cruiser in mid air. “I’LL SOLVE TWO PROBLEMS IN ONE!” The Shade exclaimed. It held the ship like a Javelin, and threw it towards the Dreadnaught, sending it veering towards Saturn, well away from Human life. Eris looked upwards. “Of those six million. How many are dead. How many must be lost today.” Then the thought hit her. Was Aion dead? “9001.” Cayde answered, nonchalantly. “But seriously? Nobody but the Concordat. Daltec zapped ‘bout 2 million people away… far outside the Cosmodrome walls.” . . . “Sh*t.”
