I think they had reasons to not bring them forward, and it was put on a long list of things to rework, but they only got round to doing it now.
If Icebreaker is changed it will be proof of that

Please stop making excuses for them. We all know the live team is a skeleton crew created to keep us busy while the rest of the company works of part 2. No secret at all. But they still aren't trying hard enough.

"Excuses" I'm just trying to sympathise with a small team who is just trying to do their job, who are getting so much misdirected hate and complaints. The live team is just there to keep something happening in the game. Thats all. We have yet to experience this new event of theirs so hold your judgement. If you want better content, complain to the actual Bungie devs working on new content.
