I didn't like the combat at the start either. But once I learned it and got better it grew on me. And yeah the crafting is fairly simple but I enjoy it. And I feel the story and hot and miss sometimes. Some were really engaging, such as the bloody baron section, some not so much. Ciri's story never hooked me. But to each their own.
