Entitled kids fail to understand the basics of business. When you purchase an eMote that's what you get in return. You don't get a stake in whatever Bungie decides to spend that money on. Not ever. Bungie have confused a lot of kids who lack understanding of business, when they said Eververse purchases would FUND future updates. Kids have misunderstood this as them having a stake i.e. automatic entitlement to free future content in perpetuity. When you buy an eMote you are not an investor in whatever Bungie uses that cash for. It's theirs to do whatever they want with. How Bungie chooses to Finance future content is their business only.
