I got banned for something i did not do please help

So last saturday i was playing trial of osiris, one of my friends i was playing with had bad connection so somehow i think the two opposing players glitched out of destiny because of my friend with the red bar or might be something else. then they started to send hate mail and thought we were DDOSing which was completely understandable but the fact is we did not we dont even know anything about hacking. So we just ignored there messages which was a bad idea since they said they were going to ban us which actually happened. i got banned today when iron banner came out which means i will miss it and i will miss trials of osiris which is one of the main reasons i still play this game even after finishing all the content left. so i hope you all believe this misunderstanding thank you for understanding

  • Hello, In destiny there are bans and restrictions. Bans are permanent, while restrictions are temporary. Bungie will not discuss or overturn bans or restrictions under any circumstances. Please keep in mind poor and unstable connection does qualify for a restriction, or ban in serious occasions. No player is banned or restricted on reports alone, every user is thoroughly investigated before action is taken on there account: https://twitter.com/DeeJ_BNG/status/738841560738070529 For anymore information you can visit this article: https://www.bungie.net/7_Destiny-Account-Restrictions-and-Banning-Policies/en/Help/Article/11929 If your restriction was due to bad connection please see bungie's Network troubleshooting guide

  • Bungie investigates suspected cheaters before placing restrictions. If you were banned it was for a good reason. You may not of been doing the ddos/playing with bad connection. But if you stay with the players that are you are guilty by association. They do not discuss or overturn restrictions.

There are Account Restrictions and Bans in Destiny. Account Restrictions are temporary, while Bans are permanent. Bungie does not discuss or overturn either of these Restrictions or Bans. You can very well receive a penalty for being affiliated with a cheater, or just by having bad connection in general. • Your friend was DDOSing people....and you benefited from it... enjoy your ban. Bungie does not discuss or overturn bans/restrictions.
