Serious great imaginary update! The reason it's not implemented.... MONEY plain and simple. It's easier for them to say "we hear you" or "we are looking into it" and do nothing and save boat loads of money. They will just use D2 as the next starting point and leave current destiny as is. To them there is no point doing any changes to it. People will still log in. People will still buy shit in Eververse. There is absolutely no reason for bungie to do any of this.
