This is just a theoretical question.
As we all know, a guardian truly dies when his ghost is destroyed, and even though Dredgen Yor was corrupted, he was still a guardian and left his ghost behind after he went on a hunter killing spree.
It is possible for him to be resurrected in several ways? I've listed some possibilities that in my mind COULD, and I can't stress this enough, COULD bring him back from the dead.
1. Obviously another ghost, or his old one, but what would've happened? Would the light re accept him? Or would he still be a shadow?
2. The hive. They practically made him what he was. Is it possible for the hive to do some sort of secret ritual and bring him back as their Slave?
3. SIVA. We know it was partially able to bring the Iron lords back from the dead using their bones and armor, but could that be used with Dredgen Yor's bones? His armor? Would he still bear the tinge of shadow?
4. Now this is a long shot, but what if the vex pull a past version of him from the universe into our reality? Then again, why would the vex do this? A test? A final push?
Well that's all I have so far. But I would like to know if it is possible for Dredgen Yor to come back to life.

Ah, Dredgin Yor...succumbed to darkness and fell to a guardian. Do you desire to bring him back, oh animal?
-
Sorry dear, no ghost would touch him ( also there is nothing but ash from him) The hive didn't make him, it was his own fear. The vex can't predict guardians so wouldn't do that. And Siva needs long periods of time to work it's way into a creature to puppet the corpse. Not o it is there no corpse of Yor, the body wouldn't be any different then then the iron lords
-
No one knows where his ghost is, so he is dead as long as it never brings him back
-
Taking as well is a possibility. That is, if other hive powers possess that ability.
-
Im right here
-
Completely random and possibly asked before but what are the chances that he has been brought back and just happens to be Zur?
-
There's pretty much no way Yor can be brought back 1. His light was pretty much gone so his ghost can't bring him back 2. Yor didn't have a throne world and his death wasn't removed from him prior to his death so that out of the question. 3. SIVA was only able to bring the iron lords back because the bomb wasn't strong enough to fully destroy the bodies. Yor was hit with a golden gun shot so there isn't even enough of him to sprinkle on French fries much less to bring him back 4. The vex are probably the best chance but him being alive wouldn't help them so there's no real chance they would.

Hopefully not.

For some reason I thought he discarded or destroyed his ghost
-
Who is that?

I've thought on this before, and I think the only way he could be brought back is if his Ghost finds his body. There's no evidence that his Ghost ever died. However, I believe Guardians are required to hav Light of their own to be revived, so there's a solid chance that it won't work since Yor let the Darkness wash away his Light If SIVA miraculously found the intact skeletal remains and armor of Yor, the could manipulate the body by building on it, but it would not be Yor. The Vex don't really roll that way, they don't seem to bring back dead things with their time travel, except by using the restorative mind on Vex Minds specifically. And that doesn't actually revive them, it just undoes whatever happened to kill the Mind, which is technically different from bringing something back from the dead. Skolas was the only one to really anything forward in time, so it is possible, but probably against Vex regulations

Myelin games released a theory on how ghost revive a dead guardian. I would wager yor lost alot of light and probably became filled with darkness, if not i doubt he had enough light to actually be respawned. Another ghost would have to be compatible with yor to be able to bring him back as well. Yor could be pulled through time by vex but there would have to be a good reason for them to even attempt when we have taken out several minds i dont think they would be worried bout a dark guardian. The hive may have some secrets to bring him back if so i dont see the hive bringing him back. If some of the theories of him turn out to be true the hive may actually hate him. But there are other proclaimed dredgens, if he had a cult start they may hunger to bring him back by learning these hive secrets. As far as siva ehhhhhh i think he would be a husk more so than an actual threat again. My speculation it would be a dead body moving because the siva tech not yor's specific abilities. but him comming back with siva would be plausible if his body is still mostly intact. Thats my opinion lol xD cool post

well siva has a few inconsistencies like how there was human DNA in the three iron lords....even though felwinter was an exo....
-
I sure hope so. I'd love the opportunity to drop some lead on that sum'...
-
Other ghosts can't bring him back because they aren't connected
-
Anything is possible at this point. Bungie threw away logic for gameplay
-
I'd cross out SIVA. It's kinda hard to "bring back" what is now nonexistent. (Do remember he was blasted by a golden gun shot. Those don't tend to leave a body behind.)
-
his light was corrupted so a ghost won't be able to revive hive abilities might be able to but I doubt hive wanna touch that guy siva is Rasputin so good luck getting passed him Outside of the Vault Vex can't control time. But now I gotta wonder. Echo Chamber the Restorative Mind was gonna pull the Nexus Mind through the time line. How can that be if the Vault is the only place they could?

Edited by Keksis, enjoyer of memes: 12/9/2016 4:30:53 AMPossibly Technically the wizard Xyor changed dregon into what we know him as who's to say there wasn't others and I doubt xyor didn't share her magic with other wizards

Not possible because, he betrayed.
https://youtu.be/q6cyDsuNx_U
