I notice people are still having trouble with Rift in Banner. I am low light for endgame, but I'm usually much higher on my team's scoreboard than I should be. Here is some advice.
1. If you want to run the Spark, you need to be able to dodge 6 people all trying to shoot at you. Run with Blink/Twilight Garrison/Shadestep/etc.
2. If you don't want to run the Spark, your job is to kill the enemies coming towards it. Pick them off from a distance with your favorite scout or overpowered grasp of malok.
3. Grabbing the spark is much easier as a group. If you are spark runner, PLEASE try to get in a group of at least 3 players to run to the rift. DO NOT run so far ahead of teammates that they can't see who is shooting you. You will die. If you must run without help, go toward the sides of the map away from sniper lanes and try to find a path of least resistance to the spark.
4. The non-runners' primary job is to shoot the enemies going to the runner. Secondary job is try to lead in front of the runner, and take bullets in turns so they'll stay alive. Defend your runner!
I hope this helps the other IB solo-ers on my team suck less. Thanks for nothing guys.
