Hey Bungie, I just wanted to say that I, and many other fans, am enjoying the Dawning. The biggest complaint with the Festival of The Lost was that it added new stuff to get but no in game way to play it. Those who did not want to pay basically got a day's worth of quests and some masks.
The Dawning is much better. While it still includes micro transactions, it is much easier to access them in game (If I am not mistaken, you get 2 treasures of the lost per character per week) and the quests are enough to last quite a while. It also added content that, unlike some previous events, will stay in Destiny. SRL is as fun as ever and I do hope it comes back monthly as a week long Iron Banner esq thing. Strike scoring is nothing huge but it is enjoyable and I only wished it was a little more competitive. The three redone strikes are enjoyable (can you really complain when you get more banter with Cayde, Ikora, and Zavala?).
Of course there is the usual Destiny charm. Whether it is listening to Lance Roddick (Zavala) admiring the stitch quality of a scarf or a hidden Sparrow from a shadow faction. Also there are the new armor, which is a good mix of micro transactions (which as I said, you can get in game) and in game stuff (like a strike scoring solid gold set). There is the return of the fan favorite Ice Breaker and 2 "new" Thunderlords. Abandon and Nova Mortis are actual reskins of Thunderlord eith different burns, and while I wish it was more different, it is a new exotic so I can't complain too much.
It is by no means perfect, but the Dawning sure is fun. Good job Bungie. Keep up the good work
