In order for hydrocarbon fuels to succeed in an ever increasingly intelligent world, we must ensure that we cap this intelligence.
We must make it so research may not be conducted in order to prove the dangers of atmospheric CO2, or how much the energy sector contributes to the climate. We must distract people with a short-term economic up-turn from repealing necessary regulations. We must ensure that students are not being taught what we don't want them to know. We must construct a veil of ignorance to lay over our country, and tie it around our necks in the most Orwellian fashion possible.
