Holstering his pistol, Tyto snickers a little. "My mother's been dead for almost nine thousand years! I think she's bored of sleeping now." Tyto was thinking back 8993 years ago, when his family died. It was such a long time from that incident that he barely felt anything from it anymore. It was like a bad dream at this point.
