The more power people have, the more corrupt they become.
Small government people, thats how countries succeed.
Small government people, thats how countries succeed.
What do you have against short people huh?!
-
Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. *resumes with chillin' like strawberry fillin'*
-
Didn't corrupt me. I'm just an asshole.
-
Yes. Yes I did.
-
Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Government size has nothing to do with it.
-
"Absolute power corrupts absolutely" "The person best suited for a position of power is the one who does not want it."
-
Absolute power corrupts absolutely
-
Small government people, thats how countries succeed.
Think even smaller...

Disagreement. Power is wielded. You are either strong or weak to it. Intentions, heart, state of mind, all of that plays into how you wield it. It does not corrupt; nay, it is the SIVA to our mortality. You either use it to build great things or destroy them.

Edited by U6757109: 12/22/2016 9:10:50 AMThe less power government officials have, the more power CEOs have. It works both ways. The only difference is we can elect government officials, we can't elect CEOs.
-
I disagree. It isn't about the amount of power someone has that makes them corrupt. It's wanting power that corrupts.

Edited by logan678910 65: 12/22/2016 3:46:12 PM> Thinking a small government wouldn't become just as corrupt as a big government

Did you know water is wet
-
I don't know why you're posting this on b.net lol, 96% of people here agree with you.
yes even me
-
You can't have small government when your government literally acts as the police force to the rest of the world, even if they need it. We will have big government until we collapse.
-
But wait, knowledge is power...
-
Good thing we didn't elect Hillary. That'd be corrupt squared

I have to disagree. Ghandi, Jesus, Martin Luther King and others weren't corrupt yet they had loads of power through great moral influence.

So many that do not understand how it works. Power is both a blessing and a curse. Power gives and takes. It gives you materials, and resources to shape life. It also is very dangerous. Too much power and the seed of destruction is planted in your mind. "i'm big and bad enough to take you on and have little to no consequence." Thats when the first dies. Then their friends, family, loved ones, the loved ones friends & family, etc. Power is not something only the "smart" that can wield. Power goes to the disciplined, the mature, and it should be given, not earned. Thats the idea of America.
-
Everyone knows that.
-
Even smaller
-
Only those who crave it
-
Only through me will you achieve a power greater than any jedi
-
Only those that let power consume them.
-
I believe the size of government should be lim(1/X) as X -> infinity.
