[b]he sits down as Rex(his dog) runs over beside him and watches him rip off the wrapping paper[/b]

The box had holes in it along the sides, the same as the paper did. It was strange, he thought, for a box to have holes in it.

Inside was an anthropomorphic puppy. It looked like it was a corgi, but with a longer tail. It was bundled up in a red blanket and had on a pink Santa hat. I guess Tubbs must've asked for a puppy or somethin'.

She crawls up onto the bed, poking his back while making a sound that seemed to sound like "Ba" a couple times.
