He nods again. "Y-you're right...but...still..." His eyes water up some as Mari holds his hand.

"It is never easy to get over the ones you lose. To feel sadness is natural. Do not be ashamed of that." [i]She said reassuringly.[/i]

He pulled a chair over and sat in it, rubbing his eyes. "Th-they were there one moment...a-and th-then j-just..g-gone..." he said, sniffling. Mari had fallen asleep.

"That is how it feels every time we lose someone. You are not alone, no matter what you may think. Some people become hard-hearted to dull the pain. Others drink it away." [i]She explained. Losing people was hard, she'd been there, but more importantly, she knew that the man who had been in the room earlier, Wolfe, had been there. She could safely speak for him, because she was not lying.[/i]

He eventually collected himself, calming down. "I can't think about it right now...I need to make sure she's safe, and stays safe...then I can mourn.."
