[b]Scars Remain...[/b]
[i]Somewhere in the dojo, thirty minutes after Kari was....killed.[/i]
Mari was hiding behind some crates and a wall, terrified, wrapped in a blanket. She hadn't cried out of fear someone would find her and kill her. That's all anyone ever did to her kind..her family..Regardless where she would go, someone would always seek to kill her and make her a hunting trophy. She had learned this the hard way when she watched her mom get shot right in front of her, her father soon to follow. Kari had taken care of their family since then, up until her little brother and sister were killed in the invasion, along with her grandmother. Kari and Mari had come to the Dojo seeking shelter, and instead Kari was dead, at the hands of some foul being. So she sat there, hiding, shaking, cold, afraid.

She looked at him with a face that expressed, "Does it look like I do?"

Oh shut up and follow me. [b]he starts walking somewhere[/b]

She looks skeptical, but gets up, staggering as she follows him.

[b]he walks to Royal's house and ransacks it for paper[/b] [spoiler]sorry Roy[/spoiler]

She sorta just waits there, huddling up to stay warm.

[b]he comes back with a notebook full of paper and a pen[/b] How did you get here?

She calmed herself so she could write her answer. "Kari carry me."

Kari?

She shakes a little, writing something else. "Kari my brother..was..my brother.."

She drew a skull, quaking a little as she inhaled shakily, holding back tears.

Oh... who did it?

She draws her best imitation of a vampire that had Ian's hairstyle.

Him... don't worry, he'll pay. [spoiler]and so begun the quest to break Ian[/spoiler] You need a place to stay?

[b]A troop of Fortis's soldiers walk storm through the dojo, turning over barrels and smashing containers. They seem to be looking for something. One happens upon Kari and looks surprised.[/b] "Get out of here, it is not safe."

She backed away from him, clearly terrified as she shook violently, not able to control her bodies spontaneous flinches.

"Get a medic!" [b]The soldier shouted before destroying more boxes. Someone who must have been a medic ran up to you.[/b] "Are you ok?"
