Mari continues to cling to her, her crying dying down as she became tired, the past week having worn her out completely.

I'll make you some salmon a-and then we can go to bed...
-
She sniffled, her eyes closed as her stomach gurgled.
-
I know... I know... *She set Mari on a couch and went into the kitchen. She would look back out at Mari every now and then to make sure she was okay before turning back to her cooking. She came back a short while later with a plate of salmon, a knife and a fork. She sat down next to Mari, handing them to her.* Do you need some water?
-
She nodded, wiping her eye before, picking up the fork and taking small bits out of the salmon.
-
*She gets up, filling a glass with water and setting it down on the arm of the couch. Sapphire then sits back down next to her.*
-
She takes the cup with both hands, sipping the water.
-
*She strokes Mari's back in an attempt to comfort her.*
-
She eventually calms down, her eyelids closing slowly. She was obviously tired.
-
*She carefully picks up Mari, bringing her into her bedroom and setting Mari in her bed. She gently tucks Mari in and then curls up on top of the covers like a cat.*
-
Mari lies on her side, closing her eyes as she sighs shakily. She could mourn more tomorrow, she needed rest now.
-
*Sapphire closed her eyes as well, starting to fall asleep.*
-
Kari was soon out cold, in a dreamless, deep sleep.
-
*Sapphire fell asleep shortly after, going into a deep sleep as well.* The next morning... *Sapphire woke up, yawning a little. She gazes at Mari, looking to see if she was awake yet.*
-
Mari had awoken a few minutes before. She was kneeling at the window, gazing off into the distance.
-
*Sapphire rubs her eyes and gets up out of the bed, walking up next to Mari.* What are you looking at?
-
She sighs, pointing at a distant mountain range.
-
*She looks off at the mountains.* What's special about those mountains?
-
She shrugs, merely admiring them.
-
Well, they are quite beautiful... Do you want breakfast?
-
She nods weakly, rubbing her eyes.
-
Okay... Do you like cereal? *She asks, taking Mari's hand and leading her into the kitchen.*
-
Mari followed, tilting her head curiously.
-
*She notices this, tilting her head a little as well.* Do you know what cereal is?
-
She shook her head no.
-
Well, it's delicious! *She says, pulling out two bowls and pouring in some Rice Crispies.*
