Q had set up a quiet New Years Party in the room he found earlier, and was playing cello for anyone who attended. There were snacks and drinks out, specifically non-alcoholic eggnog, Pepsi, Cherry-Coke, water, lemonade, and some mystery punch. Snacks include whatever snack someone brings. Q was dressed in his white sleeveless tunic and white wool shorts.

Q looked over at him, knowing he was the one who killed his friend. He had considered Kari a brother. He merely returned the smile and went back to playing the cello, knowing that more death would do no good.

He walked over to Q, frowning. "I'm sorry for what I did, Q. Really."

"Tell that to Mari..." he said, quietly and slowly playing a sad tune. Ian notices several scars on his face and neck, scars from plasma burns. They were cuts, singing his fur off.
