She hugged him
"Shh....just tell me what happened, I'm here for you"

He hugged back, sobbing into her shoulder. "I-I used to live here... I miss it... I shouldn't... but I do." He sobs more.

She rubbed his back "....I don't. After what they did.......I don't. At all. But if you had a life here....then I'm sorry"

"I'm so sorry, Rachel. I shouldn't have come back, shouldn't have made myself go through this... made you go through this..." He lets her go, looking her in the eyes. "I love you so much." He pulled her in for a hug again.

She smiled weakly, and hugged him back, it hurt her to see him like this "Let's go home, away from the memories"

"A-alright." He started to walk with her, then started to stumble, falling to his knees.

She held him up.....with surprising strength "I've got you....come on"

"No... Run. Run as fast as you can." His eyes shone a deep maroon, brightening with each passing second.

"You already turned me! I won't leave you!"

"That doesn't matter. Run." He slowly gets up, trying to calm his breathing. "Sometimes... Vampires feed on each other... The result is horrifying. So please, just go."

She drew her knife "Ian.......Can you fix it if I disable your ability to run for now?"

He backed away from her, eyeing the knife. "Don't."

She did, and started to run away, looking back.......she was scared
