There was a noise in Cravis's ear. His boss. Again.
"Dammit, What is it now?"
He pressed a button on a device on his ear, and looked at a wall. At first there was only audio.
"Face the rain."
He faced the rain, and a projection of the figure appeared.
Daniel was determined to get in the first sentence, and succeeded.
"How did you know I was in the rain?"
"That links in to my question. Why arn't you in your flat?"
"There's a demon child in my flat."
"Not your idea?"
"She was tired! I don't want a grumpy demon child walking around! We've got enough brutal murders as it is!"
"I suppose you have a point. Anyway, I have an assignment for you. It's nothing big, and links in with your last. You remember the last?"
"Yes."
"He has a girlfriend. You have an assignment to make them personally as relaxed as possible, while simultaneously making the dojo seem undesirable."
"That's an oxymoron."
"If you carry on like that, 'Cravis's job' will be an oxymoron."
"Yes, sir."
