Why is our reward for getting this sweet looking gear locked into set perks that won't change? I can understand locking in weapons, but this is armor. If I want to have the new look on my guardian I have to be at a disadvantage because it will always have perks that don't pertain to me AND without the option to either get another perk roll. If I want to use anything besides a hand cannon, fusion rifle, shotgun, or rocket launcher I won't be able to have any helpful perks that armor gives. Was neat to have the set equipped. But then immediately vaulted when I went into PvP or PvE because they are worthless to me (and I'm sure there are many other guardians that feel the same way). Thanks for the armor packages... I think? Edit: Seems a lot of people are mistaking stats with the perks. I'm aware you can get numerous packages in hopes of getting tier 12 stats (int, dis, str). I'm talking about the perks in the tree for the armor which hasn't changed for me. I've opened so many armor boxes it's ridiculous. Focker. Out.
