Because they used a photo of her from 2006 without her permission. She got cause of an edited photo that included alcohol which she did not want to be associated with.

She really think she's getting 2 billion? Haha.
What do you think? Would you sue if your picture was used without your consent?
-
Interesting. Obviously, if they used her photo without her permission, that's a problem. But then there's two ways to look at it: A) do you set the amount at what you feel "hurt" by and demand that as compensation or 2) do you go by the profit that Chipotle made off of using your picture without your permission The second one sounds like it's the heftier dollar amount.
-
I'm gonna sue them because my legs fell asleep while I was on the can dealing with the after-effects of their food.
-
If this were me, I'd ask for three things: 1. Chipotle must build a store at a location I approve, and the store must be built according to my specifications. 2. Chipotle must assign me as general manager for this store, at a salary of no less than 80k per year. 3. Chipotle must allow myself and my family to eat for free at any Chipotle location for life. Who wants a lump sum of cash when you can have a nice cushy job, steady income, free food, and a place to call your own?
-
The lawyers will tell you to aim high so when they settle out of court you end up with the amount you wanted.
-
Well my ass has seen the negative side of Chipotle but you don't see me going to court for massive loss of TP and time on the toliet.
doesn't help that I keep going back
-
That chick didn't cause me to eat a burrito. So she can deduct that. Also FYI, if she's representing herself she really doesn't have a case since lawyers are scumbags and would line up to take this if she could win.
-
She's representing herself. Even for lawyers that's a terrible idea. She's going to lose.
-
Get ya tits out
-
Well clearly she doesn't care if people see her photo. I mean, it's all I want to see now, and I assume most people will all feel the same too.
-
Ha, she's representing herself. She's not gonna get a red cent.
-
It seems like she did some sort of research on how much profit was made off of her picture if she is suing for $2.2B. If reading some of these responses correctly, she is representing herself. Does she have the legal know-how to go against corporate lawyers. Seems like she is planning on wasting legal system time and banking on get her suit settled out of court.
-
It'd be funny if she got free Chipotle for life instead.
-
She'll probably only get 100,000, nothing more. Why do people think they deserve so much money for something so petty?
-
I'd love for them to use my photo, I'd only ask for free Chipotle for life.
-
Wow, thats spicy
-
Yes, only because if I went about it right I could get some easy money.
-
Couple hundred max.
-
Would you sue if your picture was used without your consent?
I might. But only to get the photo removed and for any money I may have lost from the suit. I might want to do it for some extra money, but I ain't going to do it to get rich.
-
I'd sue for maybe a couple hundred thousand. Maybe a couple million. No more than $10 million however. Chipotle's NW is $200 million, so 2.2billion is absurd, and so would any number above 10 million.
-
They'll settle for like 180K
-
Sounds appropriate.
-
If she's telling the truth she's got good grounds to sue and should try. I don't mind looking like a sensitive idiot for 2.2 billion dollars.
-
Good. Many that shit-tier place can go out of business.
Kidding. The food still has nothing on authentic Mexican food.
-
She might get a few thousand but she isn't getting billions
-
Edited by God's Silliest Soldier: 1/10/2017 5:20:34 AMThis is something I'd sue for like 250
-
Edited by Moon Made Waves: 1/10/2017 4:10:59 AMI mean it's not like her photo lent to the success of the franchise, so that $2 billion is an outrageous number. If what she claims is true, they photographed her, asked her to sign a waiver, she declined and they used the photo any way. She's due something substantial, they'll probably settle out of court.
