"No one's ever batted an eye at missing guards before, why now?"
He asks, falling in step beside him.
English
-
"Because.... Because it's Corporal Broadside that is leading them, and Broadside was one of my top students that's why."
-
Cannon nods. "Well, you can count me in."
-
"Really? It's off the books... Nothing in it for you."
-
"If I had a platoon of my men go MIA, I'd be searching for them too. Besides, it's not like I have anything else to do."
-
"You have a ship? Because if not. We'll need to borrow one."
-
Cannon nods. "Yeah, we can use my ship. I just got it's weapons refitted, so it's ready to go."
-
"Well then, let's get to it shall we?"
-
Cannon leads him to his ship, and ugly L-shaped MandalMotors Persuer-class enforcement ship. "Here it is, the Shriek Hawk."
-
"Nice looking ship ya got here. I'm a fan."
-
"Thanks vod, it cost me a fortune. Packs enough firepower to knock out a large cruiser." He opens the door and disables security.
-
"Shit really? Modified at at all?" He entered the ship, falling Cannon
-
"Yeah. Really heavily modified." He leads Watcher to the cockpit.
-
"Kinda a small though, you ever smuggle anything?"
-
"I'm not going to answer that one." He chuckles, lifting off. "Where we heading?"
-
"First land mass 25 or so miles East of here."
-
"Alright, should be in sight within fuve minutes." The ship flys smoothly in that direction.
-
"Excellent! Be prepped for anything."
-
Cannon nods. "Engaging stealth systems and arming weapons. Disruptors, ion cannon, and lasers are charged. Missile and torpedo safeties are off. Shields at 100%."
-
"Maybe not that much. ..." Watcher chuckled slightly
-
"This planet has literal gods and titans. I'm notvtaking chances." The ship moves in on the islands.
-
"Yeah, that's a fair Point." he leaned back against the wall of the ship
-
"I'm within scanning range of the islands." He informs him.
-
"Meaning what? Geo scans? Thermal scans?"
-
"Both. I'm also scanning comm frequencies and life signs." He replies.
-
"Anything so far?" The radio frequencies were all deadly silent, nothing but a static. As for life signs, there were plenty of them. Animals, humans who knows what
