ummm maybe because the darkness will find us eventually and our only hope is the big ball in the sky that cant move?

The big ball in the sky that tried to leave us to die? I would rather leave that thing here. [spoiler]I remember seeing a post and reading some grimoire (probably one of the Rasputin ones) stating that the traveler attempted to escape when the darkness came, but Rasputin crippled the traveler so it couldn't flee. It also makes sense that it would do that saying what it did to the fallen.[/spoiler]
